The academics of the student is the main focus

As compared to other colleges of Delhi University, PGDAV College is quite good in infrastructure, area, academics, sports and political awareness. If you find good company this college will have a great role in developing your life.

The course curriculum is vide and to the point. There are no subjects which are not useful in future. Every subject has some importance. The exam structure is quite simple containing 20 marks for internal assessments, 5 for attendance and 75 for semester exams. The role of all the subjects is vital in corporate world as we learnt alot.

There is a separate placement cell of the college working hard and getting companies to visit campus for placements. The average package is 3.00 lakh p.a. Out of the students who apply for jobs nearly 50% of them gets placed. Also the teachers and college staff arranges special workshops to train students for placements.

There are several societies in this college who organize different big events. The biggest event is the annual cultural fest known as Aaghaz. This is one of the best fests of Delhi University and is a must attend. Also there is Youth Conclave which is organized by the commerce department and it is a big success.

The fee structure is comparatively very low and feasible. The mode of payment is online. The fee payment is done annually thourough paytm. The receipt is of great importance. There is also and exam fee which is to be paid once a year.this amounts to be 1500.

No there are not any scholarships as per my knowledge. But college do accept and help in the govt. Scholarships schemes.

The gender ratio is 6:4. There are many extracurricular activities and societies. Both departmental and cultural societies are there. Annual fests of all the societies takes place in which there are many games being organized and prizes are distributed. The crowd is of every type.

The seniors were very friendly and helpful. Even after getting passed out they are in touch with the juniors and helps them. They also keep visiting the campus frequently.

I got admission in PGDAV College based on merit list. The admission process was smooth and quite simple. I took admission in Bcom prog. as I am a commerce student and had no interest in mathematics. It took about 2-3 hours to get admission under 5th cut off. The process was to get the marksheet verified and submit certain documents. After that the fee was to be paid online.

There are approximately 80 teachers in the college for all the different subjects of different feilds. They are well qualified and friendly. The average age of teachers is 45 years. And most of them are PhD holders. They never fail to resolve your query and help you.
