Engineering College

Nothing as such. Everything else is mentioned. That would be enough to review the pros and cons.

I was in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. The curriculum is almost at par with the requirements of the industry. There are facilities for doing projects developing your entrepreneurship skills which definitely helps in grooming the students to make them industry ready

Placements were distratous for our batch but we need to consider the market scenario was also not good at that moment but yes later got reviews that the college is giving good placements. For internships very less initiative is taken by the college. A student needs to do all the work on his own. College just issues the noc. This thing definitely needs improvement

Technical fest-Pragati this is usually participated by a number of Engineering colleges in West Bengal Utopia - Cultural Fest The fest has a number of events like war of the bands, singing, dancing competitions, fashion shows and a celebrity guest performance every year. Apart from these two main events there are a number of events organised by the Rotaract Club of MCKV INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING.

The fee structure is not very expensive. There a few scholarship options as facilitated by the state government. The fee structure is revised every year by a certain amount. In brief it is feasible.There are educational loan facilities as well which can be availed by the students.

Scholarship as in was for female students initial discount of five thousand rupees in the initial amount charged from us. I didn't opt for any educational loan so don't have much idea about it.

Campus life is lit in Mckvie. The bonding between the seniors and juniors are lively. I have passed out for around 2years back. The college still feels to be the second home for us. There are sports facilities like the basketball court in our amtalaa.

No I had not opted for hostel facility. The hostel food as I used to hear from my peers were not upto the mark. They used to ask for changes in the food menu but still it was not at all good. Most of them had to depend on outside food.

Alumni network is good. We have connected to many of them to get reviews regarding the companies that would come for placements.

The admission takes place thourough the counselling process of State Joint Entrance Examination i.e WBJEE which is held annually after 12th Board exams.After the counselling process you will be called to the college on a particular date specified by the college for admissions.

The faculty is helpful for the students but a practical approach towards the subjects would definitely be helping the students for future industry problems which can't just be solved by theoretical approach.Else if on a general assessment the students get grooming for the interviews as required
