College life

The college overall is good but it has to improve in extracurricular activities department

In ny first sem i had physics cycle where we were taught mostly part of our 12th class, there was one new subject of computer aided engineering graphics where we were taught of representing 3-D objects on 2-D, rest of the things were quite familiar to us, the labs were ok but it didn't gave us industry specific knowledge, exams are conducted by vtu so the structure was alright but till now i have only got theoretical knowledge which is in no way connected to the actual knowledge i should get to groom my skills

The placement of our college is good as compared to most of the colleges in Karnataka but it is only for Computer science, several reputed company also come to our college, a few times google has also come to recruit, our placement centre is very active

Our college conducts many events most of them are based on awareness and cultural activities, there have also been few fests on techology and development, in my opinion they have been effective till now, these festivals are not so big but many great personalities, speakers and influencer attend it

The fees here for non-karnataka students is very expensive it is around 1.5 lacs per year, the college approves payment only thourough cash and draft, while admission also we have to give 50k for counseling which i think is very expensive, the fee structure has to be made flexible so that all can study without worrying for the fees

No i haven't opted for the scholarship or tried for loan but the college do provide education loans, one of my friend has applied for it and has got 4 years of college fees loan

The college is in the city so it's not very big it doesn't have a playground, it has 2 cafe's to chill around, there are more boys as compared to girls, there have been a few extracurricular activities related to football and badminton, the labs are old but in a working condition

Yes the college has a hostel but it is not too big so it can't accommodate it's all students so i have opted for off campus hostel which is good it has enough space, i live in a four sharing room and there is enough space for all of us, but the food quality is not good there and the hostel fees is also quite expensive nearly around 1 lacs

Yes the senior students are very helpful, we also have an annual alumini meet where the alumini tells us to grab certain skills for industry exposure

I gave comedk enterance exam for this in which i got 25k rank to get admission in this college, i opted for mechanical engineering here, as this college is in the city so everything is easily accessible and it is the top college affiliated to vtu, it is also built on a historical place so i opted for it

The faculty is very good here, they help us in every way possible, they teach us in a simple way yet efficient so that we can understand everything, they also help us in our labs and also motivates us to take up some projects that may help us in the future
