SRM is a great college

Overall it's a nice college, the infrastructure and the surroundings are very good.

The curriculum is very straight forward. They teach us everything that is important for building an actual airplane. Yes the curriculum was groomed over the years for specific knowledge to the students. SRM conducts an examination after almost every month. It is helpful for the students as it enables one to time to rime practice and also remember every thing that has been taught.

Various companies come to SRM for placements. The average placement package varies from 3-15lacks per annum. Around 500 companies visit the campus during placement season. Many big companies like Google and Microsoft also provide jobs in the campus. The tentative gpa varies from 8 to 9.5 in the campus. The college provides CCC training, specially for the placement exam. Also, there's a mandatory course of Genral Aptitude included for students of every year.

The college celebrates a number of technical, cultural and managerial fests. "Milan", a fest conducted by SRM, is known to be in the list of one the biggest cultural Asian fests. Apart from that, college also conducts, AARUSH, also a renowned fest in India.

SRM being a private college, is very expensive. The mode of payment is online. The annual fee for Aerospace Engineering with hostel accommodation goes from Rs. 5 to 6 lakhs. The additional fees charged by the college during the time of admission included a DD of Rs. 2 lakhs.

The college does provide a scholarship to the students based on their previous year performance (GPA)

I'm from a branch which comes under Mechanical Engineering. So I thought not much girls would be there in the course. But to my surprise there were so many girls, the ratio of girl is to boy for my entire brach would be 2:7 The extracurriculars are quiet good. All the labs are well equipped and there's a court for almost every game.

Yes. The rooms are spacious and cozy. There's a choice between the AC rooms and the non AC ones and also between Two sharing room or thouree sharing ones. There are a total of 6 girls hostels in the campus premises.

I mostly met seniors during different seminars conducted by the college. The seminars were very helpful in knowing that apart from acedemics how the co curricular activities are very important.

I chose SRM because of my course. Very few private colleges in India include the course Aerospace Engineering. I appeared in the SRM-JEEE. Based on my score, the Institute sent me a letter and called me for the interview. After the interview, I was supposed to submit my documents and collect the selection.

Aerospace Engineering has a total of 25 faculty members including the HoD. The minimum qualification includes post graduation in the course. The faculties are easy to assess and proves to be very helpful to the student. They teach and explain everything briefly and are ready to explain it even 100 times.
