Remarks

On a scale of 1-10 I'd certainly rate it as a 8. Some facilities are the best but some can still be better. But when it comes to be In a safer Environment I would personally recommend this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course I'm opting for is BE in Production (sandwich). I would personally recommend this course for science students who have an interest towards management as the course includes management subjects in engineering itself. Also being the sandwich pattern it provides an industrial exposure for a year. It gives you the opportunity to actually work on the field and giving you an experience of lifetime. Students almost opt for BBA or other courses after doing 12th science. This course is a better option to that according to me. It is only available in 4 colleges in the entire University this making it so rare. The college is very serious about the studies and arranges industrial visits often. The college also takes various activities both extra and co curricular.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college has 100 percent placement. Also internships are provided during the curriculum for entire two semesters in courses like production sandwich and mechanical sandwich.

College Events

5

Technical events like ENGINEERING TODAY and cultural fests like ASHWAMEDH, SHIV JAYANTI and SHIVANJALI. ET is a technical inter college event. ASHWAMEDH is an Inter college event where competitions are held whereas SHIVANJALI is the annual cultural intra college fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for open category is 1,18000 it changes according to the castes and other facilities. Special facilities for TFWS students are provided. It's feasible if compared to the other engineering colleges. And the facilities provided by the college are totally worth the fees. The payment can be done thourough net banking or Demand drafts. A detailed description of the fees is given to the students in the accounts section. And the office staff is very helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't. But I'm aware about the eligibility criteria. The parents annual income should be below 8 lakh or the student should be a rank holder in the university. If so, the student doesn't have to pay the tuition fees which is a huge amount.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is quiet equal except for the mechanical and production sandwich department. The cultural group is very active and has recently won various prices in a famous event called 'Firodiya Karandak' the technical groups are GARUASHWA, BAHA, SUPRA, ROBOTICS, TIFNA, GOCART etc. The college magzine publishing department is run and edited by the students, it's called SHIVDARPAN which is the second best magzine in entire pune city. The college has various sports team like cricket, football, badminton, basketball for boys and girls as well. The college has gym equipments in the campus itself.

Hostel Facilities

4

I was in the hostel for the first year. The rooms are very lavish. A pure wood bed with comfortable matress and pillow along with cupboard, table, chair and an attractive photo frame is provided to every individual. The rooms and washourooms are cleaned everyday by the helpers. The quality of food is quiet good as compared to other hostels. Other amenities like common room, hostel bus, common television, induction cook-top, washing machine, water cooler, fan, light, and solar water heater are provided. For the students Having personal vehicles, parking is provided at no extra cost. The hostel has an in time of 8pm sharp.

Alumni/Alumna

The department and the college are a one big family. Cases like ragging have never been observed in the campus. The seniors have never failed to create a friendly environment for the juniors. Also the college arranges expert lectures periodically which are sometimes delivered by our alumni. The college has a very strong bond with the students as well as the alumni.

Admission

I got the admission based on my CET and JEE score. The admission is thourough CAP rounds as per the Maharashtra government. The tentative admission dates are after results of the CAP rounds which is around mid June. The rounds last upto end of August. There are 3 CAP rounds and after that there is a management round. The students taking admission from management round can't take the benifit of scholarships.

Faculty

5

The faculty are serious when it comes to studies. But make sure that every doubt in the classroom is solved. They create a friendly atmosphere during visits and other college fests. Their main motto is to make every student learn things thourough experience than just theory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
