Management our college is very helpful. They support in every cause you take stand for. People sitting in office and administration section dont rouble you much. Overall, Kmc is a great place to study.
Entrance Preview
I didn't take any entrance exam for the admission process. It was based on merit of high school exam results.I had 91% in best 4 this is how I get into Statistics at KMC,University of Delhi. There were lot of courses to chhose for when I applied for admission process. Since I come from a science background I have a lot of inetrest in Mathematics and computers. There were lot of colleges offering the mathematics and computers or related course at that time.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum of Statistics honors is actually datacentric. From the very first semseter to last semester you get to play around with combination of technologies which we never knew at high school level like R programming ,SPSS and more. Subjects like Biostatistics which aims at giving you basics in health care sector and statistical modelling,design of experiments and calculus which serves as a tool in whole curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
At bachelor's level we didnt get any company visiting our campus for hiring interns.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportuniteies are awesome at college level. Companies specifically visit for two or three departments like economics bcom. Not many companies visit for hiring people from statistics at graduate level. So I rate it average for our department. We don't get to see offers ehich really excites us.
College Events
There are lot of events we celebrated at the college. I partcipated in Expectations which is the annual fest of Department of Statistics. Also we have an international fest of econics department held every year which they call "Pareto time". Our annual college fest is held at a large scale every year which we call "Rennaissance". A lot of people visit our college fest for various ongoing activities like drama music and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible for everyone. Its not more than 10,000 for nay course. Students who cannot affors this fee structure are liable to apply for concession in fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships in research projects fee concession and various other activities like drama,music,debates which are held regularly gets sponsored by college or sponsors most of the time.
Campus Life
In Du you get to see many beautiful girls. Though gender ratio is quite same though you wiull see more girls in college since boys dont visit college regularly. Labs are well maintained and can be used for research work. Many sports events like football,cricket and basket ball match are held regularly. Also debate society used to held debates both in english and hindi at various related topics of our needs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel of Kmc is quite classic. Hostel rooms are in quite good condition.You get air coolers,beds with matresses and two almirahs. Bathrooms are nearby evry room. Mess facility is quite good and cheap too. Any guest visitor can pay a small amount and can use the facility provided by mess for a day.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite strong in our college. Most of the events in academics and extra-curricular gets sponsored by alumni our college nad senior students.
Exam Structure
We had six semesters at our undergraduate level in three years. We had our labs two days in a week. The day we had our labs are quite hectic though classes used to end in early afternoon. Usually we get one or two day holidays between successive exams.
Faculty
Though I didn't get to know the whole faculty of our college. But our Statistics department faculty is quite great. Most of the teachers hare senior and have years of experience in teaching at bacheor's and master level. Though adhoc faculty which is very young helps students in every aspect they find difficulty.
