Remarks
Overall my experience with the college was very nice and I enjoyed my stay with them. The college management was very supportive and generous.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was as per norms decided by AICTE and SPPU(Pune University). The exams were conducted on semester wise. The lab practises for some subjects are included in the curriculum. About 40% weightage was assigned to lab practice, seminar & project. The industrial visits are part of the syllabus. The college organized all industrial visits as per the syllabus. The visits are useful to get practical knowledge related to the theory learnt. It helps to get acquainted with the industry atmosphere.
Placement Experience
The college has a training & placement department. They take efforts to help us to write CV, prepare for interviews. Some aptitude and communication skill sessions were also arranged by them. The students from my batch and senior were placed in companies like TVS logistics, Dhoot Transmission, Ambitious Electric, Amazon etc. The steps like written test(aptitude), group discussion followed by technical interview were followed in recruitment drive by companies.
College Events
Apart from academics many curricular and extracurricular activities were arranged in the college. The college organized technical project competition, state level sports event, Annual day event, Elocution competition, shivjayanti celebration, Motor race competition.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was feasible. Two instalments were allowed by the college to pay the fees. No additional charges were taken by the college. I had to pay examination fees additionally as per SPPU norms. The clear fee breakdown was provided by the college to me.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not availed it. But the college has support to the facility of government scholarship as per annual income and caste.
Campus Life
The college campus is good and pleasant. The college has good infrastructure with state of art facilities like centralized computer facility with wi fi connection, robotics lab, PCB lab, Auditorium, playground, gym facility, music studio, well equipped labs, central as well as the departmental library. The gender ratio was followed. Most of the students were from Maharashtra only.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has alumni network. The alumni meet is organized once in a year. We got a chance to meet seniors. They shared their experience which is very helpful to me.
Admission
I took the admission in zeal institute in Direct Second Year after completion of diploma. I got the admission through centralized Admission Process. I heard good things about Electrical department of Zeal college from one of my relatives.Some of my seniors from my diploma college were in zeal college. I got positive feedback from them also. Electrical Department has very good reputation in SPPU. Hence I preferred to take admission in this college. The admission process was as per norms and process from DTE.
Faculty
The faculties in my department were well qualified and experienced. All faculties were post graduated. A few of them were doctorate and pursuing PHD. Some of them had industrial experience also. They were knowledgeable, generous and helpful. Some guest lectures were arranged by industry persons.
