Remarks
If I go to describe my college in one word would be awesome. Considering the suburbs it has got really high standards. This college has the best quality from the professor improving infrastructure to even the students. I spent my 3 years here and these were some of my best years. I got shaped for the outside world quite well by my professors.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since my college is autonomous, the professors have the choice to make some changes to the subjects and make it interesting. I had a balance of practical learning and theoretical knowledge too. My subjects main subjects for particular enriching because I got to know lot of insights about media.
Placement Experience
I didn't get any internships from my college. But my college has a wing dedicated to getting placements & internships.
College Events
We have departments (BMM, BCom, BA, BSCIT and more) and each of these has its own fest. There are more than 10 fests that happen every year. They are thematic, fun and organised by all the students together. Fests are a pretty big part of my college and everybody wants to be a part.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is the best part - it is cheaper than most of the colleges in the suburbs. I had to be only 50000 spread across thouree years course and this was unaided. For the sides section, it was under 10000. I actually don't know about the fee breakdown as I didn't need it.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college offers scholarships. I didn't opt for it. one of my friends who comes for men under privilege background opted for it and almost 80% of the fees was paid by the college.
Campus Life
This college focuses on not just studies, but also fests, events and sports. It's a co-ed college, with slightly more girls than boys. It is well-equipped with all the labs a science student might need. The infrastructure is improving every year, there has been addition of more labs for more vocational courses.
Alumni/Alumna
I didn't have much help from my alumni. My seniors were not so great. But just because I didn't have a great experience doesn't mean my other friends didn't.
Admission
I always wanted to be in media, so I went for BMM. I joined this college as it was one of the few colleges that was autonomous. Being autonomous meant a better curricular. I had to fill an online form and wait for my name to appear in the merit list. It was difficult to get in (I was among the 3 students who made it to the first list cutoff).
Faculty
I had some of the best teachers in my years of learning. They are super understanding, friendly and my professors paid special attention to my batch (I was a journalism student and we had only 11 students). Before i joined this college I was told that the professor going to be great. Turns out, it's 100% true.
