Entrance Preview
This college comes under Delhi University. The procedure to take admission in the college is based on cut offs. Cut off lists are taken out by college on the basis of Class 12 percentage in various disciples. I scored 90% in class 12 and got admission in Chemistry Hons in first cut off. I always had a deep interest in Science and this was an opportunity one can't miss. I chose this college because I had heard a lot good about the teaching staff.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies come up for recruitment. The internships offered are lucrative and provide an insight into the corporate world. Teachers come together to work with students to develop a project which is funded by UGC. The stipened offered to students who help in research projects is around two grands.
College Events
It all starts with the Fresher's party which is organised as the new session commences. Various events such as Inter College debate, dance, art competitions are held during a semester which involves an active participation of students of various colleges. Events are organised on the University level as any college of DU can take part in any event. Various seminars and book fairs are also organised time to time. In sports, Inter college Cricket and Volleyball are main attractions. An annual fest is organised each year during which a celebrity usually gives an appearance or perform.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible, rather cheap. For science students it is around 10-12k a year. For arts and humanities it plunges to about 6k annually. An additional exam fee is deposited each semester which is around 1.5 k .
Fees and Financial Aid
No loans availability.The Delhi University though, provides scholarship to deserving students who score good. Our college provides a scholarship to the student who tops in Science.
Exam Structure
The days are usally hectic. 3-4 labs in a week are common. Tests in the form of internals are taken during the semesters. A day in college usually consists of 7-8 hours with classes and labs giving a little space for chilling.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is decent. Teachers are well qualified with majors, experienced and modest. Teachers have a full grasp on their subjects and are always willing to help. However the teaching methods, I believe should develop as the current orthodox methods lack the flair anf prove ineffective at times. Digital teaching should be introduced.
