Review about Zeal College of Engineering & Research, Narhe, Pune

I must say that, in order to get good knowledge, extracurricular and co-curricular activities, Zeal supports to students. Zeal also supports students who wish to start startups. Hence, I must say Zeal is right to institute those who need to move ahead in the field of technical world.

The course structure driven in this college is as per the University of Pune. It is not 100% research-oriented but still, it is a research drive. One can get ample of ideas to do research in Electrical Engineering. I have learnt the basics and advanced subjects related to Electrical Engineering. There are industrial visits mentioned in the syllabus itself.

In our college, we have dedicated training and placement cell for both on-campus and off-campus placements. The placements have been excellent consistency in all branches. I have witnessed the placements through this college. Companies visiting in our college are offering good packages around 3 to 5 LPA. The placement cell is very dedicated.

Technical events like paper presentation, Quiz competition. Our college is used to organized inter-college sports events named as Ranangan, Zeal Drag (Intercollege motocross events). Intercollege elocution competitions like Sanwad. Celebration of Shivjayanti, Traditional Day. Interviews of public figures who are well known in various sectors inspire students like us to think about that particular sector.

The fee structure is good. It is not too much costly. Part-payment facility is also available. There were no additional charges in fees. The bus facility, hostel facility cost is not covered in fees. College provides transparency in fee breakdown. Exam fees are excluded from college fees.

I did not opt for any educational loan and scholarships. There are some scholarships for students mainly based on annual income-based.

Campus life is a positive place where students can go to have fun with friends, talk about relevant issues. There were number of students in my batch from all over Maharashtra. There is a number of excellent facilities in the college. There is a huge playground in our college. The separate gym for boys and girls is available.

Alumni network is helpful. But still it under development stage. Most of them passed out students have given guest lectures to SE, TE and BE students which includes the current situation of the market, how to groom knowledge as per industry perspective etc. The college has arranged Alumni to meet every year. It is the best platform to meet seniors.

I got admission in this college through a centralized process (CAP). I chose this institute as it was near to my house. I heard a few good things about this college, which includes experienced faculty members and extraordinary facilities in college such as state of art laboratories.

There are senior faculty members in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Most of them are doing Ph.D in reputed institutes. Definitely, it helps students to be in touch with research-oriented education through such senior faculty members. In our department, students are getting hands-on training based on few subjects such as Electrical machines, design of electrical machines etc.
