Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing is a four-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC). The mode is full time and duration is four years and exams are semester based

Placements include- Madras Medical Mission,Vijaya Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Agarwal Eye Hospital, Global Hospital, Dr. Mehta's Hospital, Med City, New Delhi, MIOT Hospital,JSS Hospital,Dr.Cherryans Hospital. International placements include - Dalcam Health Care Group, Newzealand,City Hospital, Dubai, B&M care, United Kingdom,Heyyo Hospital, USA, Hammad Medical corporation, Qatar, Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, Mediserve Nurse Agency, Australia.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is a private college and provides great placement opportunities, the fee structure is high. Approximately the fee structure might be near to 5lakhs. I cannot provide detailed figures as I am not allowed to do so. It's has been ordered by the college authority.

Campus Life

During the college hours students are given regular sports hour during which they are given the opportunity to play outdoor games. Library facility is provided and clinical training at the same time.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very active alumni association. All the old students are members of this association.Association is Led by a board of committee members, the mission of the Alumni Association is to support the college of Nursing and its alumni, and to further alumni involvement with the college and fellowship among alumni.Every year, the Alumni Association hosts Alumni Reunion and other events at the college of Nursing.

Admission

All the admissions are provisional and are subject to final; approval by The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Admission is dependable on the percentage of 12th grade examination and the total intake for my course is 100 students.

Faculty

College of nursing has a progressive administration and team which is forward looking dedicated and open to ideas. The principal of PPG college of nursing is DR.P.Muthulakshmi Ph.D who is a well experienced senior most faculty of nursing. She has experienced in clinical and teaching area more than 35yrs. Academic responsibility of various programmes is shared by Professors, Readers, Lecturers, Clinical Instructors and Demonstrators.

Honest review of my college experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the final semester. As the first batch, only a few companies have visited so far, with limited offers made. The highest and average packages are still developing and not clearly defined yet. Currently, the percentage of students getting placements is low, but it is expected to improve in the coming years. After completing the degree, I plan to pursue higher studies and build a career in my field.

The college carries more placements in their own hospitals and also provides many more placements. The average package is about 3 lakhs per annum and 7-8 lakhs per annum. The plan is to go to abroad countries
