The college is located far from the main road but our college provides buses to communicate.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum and exam structure are quite good. As this college affiliated to makaut University and approved by AICTE.A total number of the semester is 8. Every semester has 6 months time. College follow the makaut University all rule. Makaut University is also good.

As I am studying in 1St year I have not faced any interview yet. But I come to know from our senior that our college provides us with so many opportunities during placement.

Our college organised so many cultural and technical program like freshers welcome teachers day women day technical fests like online coding contest pubg and pes tournament. Our college also celebrates Biswa Karma Puja, Saraswati puja, cricket tournament etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college semester fees nearly 25-30 k mode of payment for semester fees -RTGS, NEFT, PAYTM, PHONE PE, GOOGLE PAY. N.B check and cash not accepted. College provides fees book where all transactions of semester fees are mentioned. College fee is not so high.

We have not opted for any scholarships by our college as the course fee is not so high. If you are eligible for any scholarships then you get it by the government.

The college infrastructure is very good. classroom, labs seminar hall is well decorated. The college has a lot of equipment for practical labs. Our college organizes technical fest and cultural fest. Students are given a participating certificate for taking part in infest and sports.

Our college is very nice. There is a very good relationship between senior and junior. College campus is ragging free.

I got the admission in this college through wbjee exam. College is very nice and college staffs are helpful. Teachers are talented. Many companies visit the campus during placement time. Senior and junior relationship are good. College is ragging free campus.

All faculty members are well educated and talented from renowned University. They teach us very well. They always help us with our learning. We are very grateful to the teaching staff. Teachers help us out in our education whenever we have any problem.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Don't be a minimum guy, Choose GKCEM

It’s Greater Kolkata College of engg and mgmt. under JIS group is one of the best colleges around for students. Though my department of Mechanical Engineering is favorite for its labs, facilities, faculties and it is as good in other sections also. Certainly, our college provides adequate infrastructure and quality teaching of the faculty members here. This college is affiliated to MAKAUT University and many top companies visit the campus during placements. The senior are quite helpful to the juniors.Its an anti ragging campus.
