Entrance Preview

I didn't take any enterance examination. Admissions were based on marks scored in class 12th exams. I scored 91% marksn got admission under obc category. As i had taken commerce so i wanted to take admission in commerce stream only.

Internships Opportunities

The college doesn't provide internship but there are certain companies who put out workshops to interact with students and provide them internship opputunities. In general internship stipend if u work with reputed companies you are paid around 1-2k per month with a cerificate and a lot of experinece.

College Events

NEXUS is the annual college fest organised in march every year. It is one of the biggest and greatest fest of delhi university. Last year mohit chauhan mesmerised us with his soulful performance.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure if economical. We just have to pay 7000 per year apart from exam fees. The exam fee depends on number of theory and practical papers.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have heard that the college provide scholarship to obc,sc & st students in the first year of college. But only the students belonging to proper delhi can avail the scholarship.

Alumni/Alumna

Once i had interaction with an alumni and he was very supportive and told me about the atmosphere in and around college. He helped me deciding the area where i should live and places to hang out in delhi.

Exam Structure

The exams are held every 6 months as per the university decisons. Semesters exams are easy and reduces the burden for students as we do have in yearly exams. We get proper leaves for preparation and amidst exams.

Faculty

The faculty for foundation course papers were not so experienced in that field .Because it was a totally new syllabus and the teachers were not yet prepared for it. But for the main papers the teachers seemed to be experienced with great teaching skills.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
