Course Curriculum Overview

The course and subject offered is great, the teachers are helpful and clear your doubts time to time. There are numerous ways to increase the interaction and boost up the skills. Various workshops are organised to help build additional skills and perform better.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 88000 per year

Placement Experience

Due to the COVID situation, the process of the internship has shifted online and some good companies have come for placement drive.

College Events

Cultural festivals and many events and festivals are celebrated in the college. The preparations are done and everything is taken care of by the students as well as staff when it comes to hosting them. Competitions and other college students can participate in it too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I feel the facilities provided as compared to the fees we pay is a bit high.it could've been lesser. The fees payment can be done online or offline, whichever possible and there are breakdowns clearly mentioned in the college to give a better idea about this.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarship to students but I haven't been so lucky to get one. Don't know about the procedure.

Campus Life

Various extracurricular activities are held and have helped me develop, DJ nights at times and parties within the campus after some function in college can be done. There are various fairs also organised by the various depts to encourage students to participate.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are helpful in guiding the students. You can approach them in case you feel there's some issues or doubts.

Admission

I opted for BCOM Hons. The factors that made me choose this institution was nearness to my house, the course offered, metro connectivity. The admission was done through IPU CET exam and I had an AIR 900. The admission was done after selecting college and getting it after counselling round.

They are 8 lectures in a day. From 8:30 to 4:30 in the second year, whereas 5-6 are there in 1st year. The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable about a student's weak point and focus on them too. There are chances to improve skills and perform in a workshop that is held by them.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
