Remarks

The Government Law College, Madurai is overall a good college. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Faculty is also helping and skilled. Labs are updated and the library has a variety of useful books. The college is having a lot of facilities like hostel facility canteen facility sports etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The duration for B.A.L.L.B is 5 years and the course curriculum is quite good. The syllabus is having all Important subjects which are needed in any law and judiciary course. The course is semester-based and the exams are held at the end of each semester.

Placement Experience

The college is having many facilities regarding placement. Students can do an internship after completing their course and after that, they have many options for their career. The college has a placement department which helps the student to get placed in good companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is a government college and quite feasible in fee department. The annual fee for the course B.a.llb is approx 1400. The course duration is 5 year and the whole course fee become 7000 approx. which is quite feasible according to me.

Campus Life

The college infrastructure is quite good and the college is quite good. Labs are updated and having a number of equipment which are enough for students that is a good part of the college. The library is having a number of books regarding syllabus and also apart from the syllabus.

Admission

The admission process is quite similar to other colleges. Students can take admission in the course according to their last merit of the qualifying exam. There are a number of course provided by the college with different duration like BA LLB for 5 years and LLB of 3 years. I opted for BA LLB and got admission based on the aggregate of my 10+2.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is quite good too. The faculty is humble in nature and always ready to help. They help the students in any field as study or placement. The teachers are skilled and have quite good knowledge related to those subjects

The placement of my college is not great when compared to other national law university but still better than some private colleges. Companies such as Trilegal, Argus has visited our college to recruit students. Though I plan on pursuing judiciary.

I don't know about placement. But I have heard that this college having the campus recruitment from various corporate companies. And personally know one of our senior got the job with the salary of around 80000 per month.

Placements are very mediocre. Few companies like Zoho, Agarwal, Etc visit for campus interviews but they offer less package. As for my knowledge maybe 2-5% get placed. I plan to practice as an advoca after graduating.

Admission:

There's a form to be filled for admission in this course. One needs to mention all the details as asked in the form, which can be downloaded from the website, they need to attach a DD/cheque of INR 1000 and send it by post along with the form to the college's official address. The college wil communicate with regards to admission.

Admission to Government Law College Madurai requires minimum 45% marks in 10+2 for General category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST. Selection is done through Tamil Nadu Law Admissions counselling based on merit, not entrance exam, for 5-year integrated law courses.
