A university to make you industry ready!

the rules are bit strict in order to keep with industrial culture which is good for those who like limits. having a more inclusive surrounding will help more for the university. the management members are easily accessible through mails, contacts, and in person too.

I got into veltech university by direct admission whereas many of my friends got into the university through JEE Main. since I was interested in the modelling and designing of machines and components I choose to get into mechanical stream.

at present the course structure is much better for the students who are interested in the practical usage of the theoretical knowledge they gain. The students have to present various projects for each semesters that is included in there curriculum. The research labs are much accessible and allows students to think and create their ideas. the 3d printers, CDIO approved labs bring much better facilities for students.`

for the final year project we get to choose our industry where we feel interested and comfortable. on a selection basis they allocate the industry for different students. this year 2 students from cse branch got internship in amazon India with a stipend of 18k.

for circuit branches( CSE,ECE,EEE) the placement is above average. with more than 20 companies visiting till date and more than 150 students getting placed. AMAZON INDIA- 2students-7&9L per annum MINDTREE- 40 students- 4L per annum MU SIGMA- 7 students- 7L per annum etc

Every year we have techno fests for curricular and extracurricular activities. Annual sports events are held in the campus. The university play the host to many national and international paper and journal presentation. Celebration of engineers day by felicitating both students and teachers for their achievements.

The university is run by a trust and it helps the students in need by providing scholarships for their academic progress. the fee structure is around 2.3L per annum. students(having a good academic history) get the required help from the scholarships and can continue his studies. every year the university provides upto 4cr on this scholarships.

I am availing 100% mahatma Gandhi scholarship under which I have been exempted from paying both educational and hostel fees (for the time period until I keep clearing my papers on 1st appearance). 100% scholarship is for all the students who have the highest % (out of the students who joined) from their state. scholarship is also provided to students for good academic percentage and sports achievement.

in the official section the gender ratios is much better and with good security and freedom for the girls the students gender ratio is not bad either(considering not many girls enter into mechanical ).the university conducts many workshops lead by students to increase the interest . the annual sports events are organized for extracurricular activities. debate, essay writing, rangoli, and many such events are organized and the achievers are recognized.

the hostel facilities are on par when compared to various other institutes in the same region. we have the opportunity to choose our rooms and roommates. the mess provides both south Indian and north Indian foods and the student can choose as per his/her preference. starting @80k per annum varies with AC and Non- AC.

the university maintains a very good alumni networks with lots of alumni donating and helping the students in need . the alumni also help the university to get into contact with the industries which brings benefits to the current students. the social network with the alumni's is also very good.

the exams and labs are a bit hectic . having to deal with 4 weeks of internal theory exams (in total). 2 weeks of internal labs. with the extracurricular activities in mind becomes a bit of a hectic schedule but can be easily managed . the approach is necessary to be ready for the internal exams.

by physically coming to the college I procured my admission forms although it was available through the site.( since I wanted to have an idea of the place).I had to pay an initial amount of 5k to reserve my seat and on the date of admission I presented my 10th and 12th certificate. I was accepted into the college on the basis of my 12th marks (89% CBSE).

many faculties have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. the quality of teaching is good .most faculties are friendly and respond to the doubts of the students. classes run with both ppts and chalk-talk. even the faculties with lots of experience are friendly .the faculty members are encouraging and sharing the industrial work knowledge they have gained over the years.
