Course Curriculum Overview
Bsc follows semester system and has a duration of 3 years. There course structure is very good and focuses on a lot of research and practicals. The days are generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.
Placement Experience
The college provides with opportunities to its students. There are internship for its students to grow. They also provide with jobs and placements. Many firms come and recruit the students. Many students take part in the placement programme.

The fee structure of the university is quiet feasible and not very high. The fees for Bsc is around 50 thousand which is quiet affordable as per the demands of the course.so, the fees is very very affordable and not at all expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
A large number of students belonging to financially backward classes are granted tuition fee-concession. There is also a Students Aid Fund managed by the Students union. Moreover, the meritorious students are also entitled to receive government stipends.
Campus Life
The college enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball and so on. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fate in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure.
Hostel Facilities
The college maintains Boy's Hostel and Girls Hostel in the college campus. A male student intending to reside in the college hostel will have to abide by all the rules and regulations of the Hostel. A Hostel Super supervises the hostel activities of the college.
Admission
Kalna College, established in 1943, is a college in Kalna, Purba Bardhaman district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated to University of Burdwan. Students of either sex who have passed the H.S. Examination or such other equivalent Examination under any other authority recognized by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, and I.S.C., C.B.S.E. are eligible for admission to the 1st year B.Sc. Honours and General Course. The admission is done entirely on merit basis.
Faculty
The faculty of the institution is very good. They are well qualified and trained with a great experience. They have good command over their respective subjects. They also encourage students in every possible way and help them when they need.
