Remarks
College management was good but harsh. They follow time deadlines quite seriously and if someone does not follow the rules, he/she will have to bear fine imposed by management. In case of low attendane , they will hold your Examination Admit Card.
Entrance Preview
I got 1172 Rank in Common Entrance Test(CET), conducted by Govt. of Karnataka. I liked to spend hours together on my Laptop. So, I knew computers was my passion. I went through counselling process. My family members did some research and suggested me to opt for Dayananda Sagar College.
Course Curriculum Overview
There were 8 semesters of 6 months each. Each semester included 6 theory papers and 2 practicals. in 7th and 8th semesters, there were few elective papers based on your interest. Compiler Design, Advanced Networking Concepts, Principles of Programming Language, etc.were in Electives.
Internships Opportunities
Mahindra Comviva, Wipro, HAL and many more start up companies offered internship. 10,000 to 15,000 INR was the stipend offered. It was very helpful to know how the IT industry works and what are the new technologies to be learnt to excel n IT industry.
Placement Experience
Most of the students were placed. Roughly, the placement percentage was more than 90%. More than 25 companies came for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra,SAP, Dell, etc. did mass recruitment. They offered 3 lacs to 8 lacs per annum.
College Events
Technical, cultural and management festivals were organized frequently. All the esteemed colleges of Bangalore, like RV, PESIT, MSR, BIT participated. Rock band every year was very refreshing.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was standard. 1.25 lacs per annum was the course fee. Hostel charges was 60,000 per annum. So Total fee including hostel charges and mess food was around 7.5 Lacs.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt for Bank Loan. So I will not be able to answer this. Since I don't have anything to write.This should not be a mandatory field,with word limit.
Exam Structure
Exams were hectic. Every month we had internal exams(50 marks each) for all the subjects in the semester. At the end of 6 months we had external exams.
Faculty
Most of the faculty members were superb in their subjects. 80% attendance was mandatory. The lectures was detailed and it sparked the interest of the students to go through the course book for crystal clear concepts Any doubts asked by students were clarified within 24 hours.
