One of the Best

There was no college bus for engineering students.

Entrance exam CET Opted for Civil engineering. Reason - Almost 10 civil engineer in my family. Why DSCE? - Because it is one of the Best for engineering in VTU.The entrance exam was followed by a counseling system to chose a particular college and course.I'll always is grateful to this institution and my professors there.

It was a 4 years course with semester scheme I.e. 8 semesters. I had opted for environmental paper because of my interest in it and because of a good professor available for this elective.

My highways professor introduced me to NHAI Exn.Er. and thus I went for internship for an amount of 6k/pm which was more than enough for me as I was working only 20 hours a week.

Got placed in Soma in HEP project. There were several It and construction companies for placements. INFY, TCS, SATYAM, ACCENTURE, SOMA, SOBHA etc came for placement. The avg. Offer was 3.5 lacs/PA.

1.Annual college festival and 2.musical fest on completion of 25years of college. One of the Best amphitheater in Bengaluru we had. Most of our college life other than class hours was spent in this amphitheater. Some good rock music performances are still fresh in my mind.

Annual fee payment. It wasn't too much but not less also for a single earning parent from middle class. The fee amount was 45K thousands rupees every year. Other than that there was exam fee of around 1500 rupees before semester exams.

Normal education loan from Bank was being given with the necessary help from college authority.There was even a Canara bank branch in the college campus to help the students for all the financial help.

I was always interested in cricket so I played all the tournaments of our college. There were basketball and badminton tournaments as well. It was also a great fun to celebrate Holiday the festival of color and joy in our campus. There were groups but not ethnic or on gender bias but just of some close friends coming from different background.

I didn't stay in hostel. I was staying in private accommodation with my friends. It was cheaper because of sharing system.

Seniors from this college were always helpful. In fact I got referred by my seniors for my 1st job. They were placed in Soma and they helped in choosing this reputed organization to start my career with. It was also great on their part when they allowed me to stay with them when I moved to Delhi to join Soma.

VTU schedule was keeping us busy in every 5-6 months. The internals and externals were conducted regularly to keep us busy with our books. But all this was so well scheduled that it never bothered us much.

All were fabulous but I personally had a good repo with my Survey, Highways and RCC professor. It was their guidance which made our careers. We spent some quality times with them other than our class hours to understand the nuances of the Civil engineering field.
