Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is well designed. A lot of new technologies have been introduced as electives. Exams consisted of 20 marks of sessionals and one final exam at the end. Sessionals was hectic as it had 3 days of 2 tests on one day.
Placement Experience
For my curriculum, college had exorbitant placement opportunities. These opportunities were conveyed to us through a very well designed portal. Internship opportunities were also there, but few. However internship opportunities are increasing with every passing year.
College Events
Our college had a technical event called Tech Tatva and a cultural one. Various student clubs used to participate in them. They were held over 3 days and were comprised of several activities to engage the attention of the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure was expensive as per the structures in the other colleges. However, our college provided more amenities than the rest. The academic fee was approximately 2.5 lacks per year. The hostel fee depending on which hostel you chose, mine was 1 Lac.
Fees and Financial Aid
We have a merit based scholarship system awarded to students who get a rank below 1000 in the manipal entrance exam. I think there is some kind of education assistance given to students who get the first rank in their streams.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms were cozy. They had most of the modern amenties. The structure of the hostel was like 1 room apartments. The corridor areas were highly spacious. Th cleaning was always done on time. If anything broke, people would come to repair it instantly.
Admission
Via Manipal Entrance Exam. Chose course due to interest and career prospects from it.
Faculty
Some of the members of the faculty were fecund about their subject matters. They had done PhDs on their subjects and hence could guide if someone wanted to purse a project on their domain areas. There was no hint of any communication barriers at all.
