College is a very important part in any students life. My college fulfills its duty of providing a very good platform to the students which further helps them to soar high in the sky and helps them reach their potential.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is designed as per the UGC guidelines. Both academic and field knowledge based subjects are distributed amongst the 4 semesters of college. Some additional subjects are also provided which focuses on enhancing the skills of students. Exams are held at the end of every semester for 100 marks : 75 theory and 25 internals. The curriculum is designed to enhance students' personality and increase their knowledge
Placement Experience
The college has a very active placement cell which brings lucrative placements for the students. The companies which visit my college are Infosys, Genpact, HCL among others The general steps include an interview, a written test, and a Group Discussion round. Since I am a second-year student, I don't know much about the percentage of students getting placed every year as I am still exploring this option.
College Events
My college organizes various festivals starting from the Freshers, Diwali Mela, internship fair, national seminars, college fest, and farewell to name a few. Every year college organizes various inter-college programs in which other colleges are invited over and they compete with the students from our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. The mode of payment is online. Additional charges are taken for the department fund which is used in organizing various activities in the college.The college provides full transparency in the fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't opt for the scholarship or education loan. There is a separate department for PWD students under which their admission is taken.
Campus Life
This is an all girls college.The college organises various competitions ranging from sports festivals ,debates, dance competition etc.Different societies are present in the college providing students a chance to enhance their overall personality.The college has girls from various backgrounds and varying ethnicities and is highly diversified.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very helpful and accomodating. Every year an alumni fest is organized in the college, which provides the students an insight about the alumni that have graduated from the college.
Admission
I am currently pursuing B.com(Hons) which is a 3 year full time undergraduate course. Admission in Delhi University is on the basis of marks obtained in one language and other three subjects. Then cutoffs are declared by different colleges which vary each year after which one gets 3 days to verify their document by the college and get admission. I chose this college as it is an esteemed college with good faculty which focus on one's overall development.
Faculty
The tentative numbers of lecturers in my course are 5. The lecturers' age differs. They are highly qualified with each one of them having the respective specialization in the course which they are teaching. Some lecturers also have Ph.D.'s, which makes each and every lecturer capable of helping the students understand the subject clearly.
