Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum needs to be revised. It lacks the modern technology information, latest innovations etc. Many things have changed and the things taught to us don’t apply in todays time. Change is very important

Placement Experience

The placement record so far has been good. But we lack internship opportunities. Also the stipend provided to CS students is worth. Other branches are not given such opportunities. The college needs to take care of this.

Kashish MMNCT Inter-year Inter-departmental Sparsh Mind bend All these are the famous events which our college conducts and the crowd is also huge. There is issue of funds which i think college needs to take care of

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are okay, not so good but we can adjust. But the other facilities are poor. Washroom needs to get renovated, other facilities should be there in hostels which are not there right now.

Admission

By appearing JEE exam. Also according to the priority of the courses in various colleges chosen by me

Faculties are good with knowledge but lack teaching skill. Also they are just concerned about the syllabus instead of the knowledge which is more important for us. They need to update their skills and teach something out of the box also which interests us

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
