Course Curriculum Overview

The exams are held on a yearly basis. You will get your admit card online and the centre will be allocated to you. You just have to go and give exams. This is such a relaxation to students who want to do more just than a graduation.

Placement Experience

School of open learning doesn’t provide the facility of placements. You will just get a degree. This platform is for students who don’t want to skip years of their graduation and want to do much more than that. You will get a degree and side by side you can do additional things to get a good placement.

College Events

School of open learning is not like a regular college. Yes, here students can’t attend events like zest, freshers and farewell parties like any other student who go to regular college. But extra classes on sundays and awareness events are kept once in a while basis where you can go with your friends and family also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is so feasible. They just charge a very nominal fee as compared to regular college going students. Even who can’t afford going to regular college and pay huge amounts to get themselves enrolled in also gets an opportunity to get a degree through this platform.

Hostel Facilities

School of open learning doesn’t provide hostel facilities. It’s not a regular college. Students who even live outside the Delhi have to stay at PG’s or some any other place. Obviously, a student who is taking admission here is doing something else also in their life.

Admission

By scoring good percentage in class 12th, I decided to do a professional course for which I have to take classes and doing regular college was not my cup of tea. So I enrolled myself in school of open learning where I can get the degree of graduation also from Delhi University and can focus on my course also.

Faculty

I have never been to college. They used to keep classes on Sunday but I have never been there. Even at the exam, centres were allocated in DU colleges where faculties were strict and helpful also. They used to clear exam related doubts for every student.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
