
Entrance Preview
There were no entrance examinations. Professional admissions were on merit base. There were only 25 seats for B Pharm in kerala State. 15 seats were for graduates and 10 seats for pre degree students. After predegree, i got admission. there were no interview also.
Course Curriculum Overview
One of the most versatile syllabus covering 27 subjects. Other than pharmacy related subjects, physics, chemistry, maths, botany, zoology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, engineering drawing, German etc.
Internships Opportunities
I entered a pharma company with a stipend of RS 350/. The usual stipend was Rs 280/. After six months, it was increased to Rs 500/ and after six months, again increased to Rs 750.
Placement Experience
There were no campus recruitment and job opportunities were very less. Lucky one alone gets job. Worked in some private hospitals outside for two years and all tried outside India.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Annual fee was below Rs 50/ and it was more than the fee of medical students. Fee was not a source of income and medical education was not a business.
Fees and Financial Aid
Kumarapillai commission was available to most of us. I also took a loan scholarship of canara bank. Many charitable organisations were giving scholarships.
Alumni/Alumna
All the seniors were good to us and we to our juniors. There were no ragging.though we made an alumni assn, it didn't work well. Most of the teachers were not that much helping and supporting.
Exam Structure
All mornin we had lectures and afternoon all practicals. Every time session exams and then annual exams. Study was the main item and all others minimal.
