All facilities are good. Caretaker are available for the students. All are encouraged not only to study but take part in co-curricular activities. Placements are also very good. Wi-fi facility is there.

Course and curriculum followed here is of Indian Maritime University and the Institute is affiliated with the same university. Each Semester a Cadet has to study 10 subjects 6 theory and 4 practicals.

Placements are very good as compared to other government Maritime Institutes. Yes there is an internship facility for the students in Ship In Campus. Leading shipping companies of the world including Maersk, NYK, Teekay, Chevron, Stena and many more visit college every year for the cause.

Cultural fest HORIZON includes 30 to 40 events stretched over 3 days. It includes Stage events in which all 4 houses compete with each other and perform their best Technical fest TRANSTECH 2 days fest all other Maritime Institutes are required to participate in the event.

Expensive side. B. Tech in Marine Engineering 20 lacs for 4 years B. Sc in Nautical Science 15 lacs for 3 years Diploma in Nautical Science 6 lacs for 1 year All the fee include tution, practical training, value added courses, uniform, accommodation and messing.

Loan facility is not available from the Institute. But merit scholarship is given to cadets to motivate them to perform better. Top 35 students of each semester are given scholarship. 1 rank 40000 2 and 3rd 35000 each 4 and 5 rank 30000 each and so on

10 girls in batch of 320 cadets. Strict policy against Drug and alcohol. All types of sports facilities are available including Football, Basketball, Badminton, Mixed Martial Arts, Swimming, Squash, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis alomg with them 3 Gym

Availing residential facility is compulsory. There are 3 Hostels. Twin Sharing Hostel Rooms. The total fees includes Hostel fees of 70000. Hostel is simple but comfortable well equipped rooms with ample space.

Alumni meet is conducted once every 3 to 4 years. The graduates from the Institute come and share their valuable experience with the cadets and also guide them to perform better. They also talk about advancement in the industry.

Entrance Examination followed by Interview process. IMUCET and TMISAT are the 2 exams that a candidate has to appear for to get admission in the Training Institute. Fascinating career along with good perks and privileges attracted me here. Merchant Navy is a career with a disciplined life.
