MNIT: My NIT

As this college is National Institute run by Central Government this is the most positive part. Everything is fine. But now other two Colleges are also running in our college and their names are IIIT Kota and NIT UK. So the sources gets divided. This is the negative part.

Course Curriculum is nice. All subjects related to respective branch are covered throughout the Semester. Practicals are also included in our syllabus. One mid-term of 30 marks and one End-term of 50 marks are taken and 20 marks for internals in which assignment and attendance are considered.

Placement and Internships are good enough in my college. More than 50 companies visit in our college every year. They provide both intern as well as Placement. Like in my Branch, a Company named TEXAS gave 19 lakh rupees per annum as placement and same company offers intern with 75k per month. Overall placement percentage is 77 percent.

There are three major events that take place in national institute of technology jamshedpur namely, OJASS(the techno-management fest). Culfest (the cultural fest). Urja(the sports fest). There are also small branch fest all around the year.

Fee structure depends on Income of Student's father. If income is more than 5 lakh then they pay around 160000 per year. If more than 1 lakh and less than 5 lakh then they pay around 76000. and if less than 1lakh they have to pay 34000 per year.

I have submitted a Scholarship provided by Bihar Government which I submitted through our college. But till now I didn't get it. I think it is under verification process. I haven't taken any Loan. But there are two banks in my college that provides Loans.

Gender ratio is pretty good in my College. Different types of workshop are held on regular intervals. There are many Society like Music and Dance, Technical, NSS. Allumi Committee is also there. The college environment is very friendly and good. No any Student committee are there. Boys and Girls have equal right.

In first year we were alloted Room in which 3 students lived together but from 2nd year each student were alloted single Room in which there is a study table and a Chair. There are more than 10 hostel. PG's students are alloted different Hostel. Each semester we pay 32000 rupees for fooding and accommodation. 20000 for fooding and 12000 for accommodation. Indoor games are available in each Hostel.

Seniors are very helpful and interactive. They are ready to help juniors in every situation. They help too much regarding education and interns. ALCOM is Alumni Committee in our College. Every year we students and Alumni meet in December and celebrate an event Grand Alumni Meet.

The process of selection is through the entrance exam, jee mains which happens twice a year all around india. The rank achieved decides the college and branch allocated. There are total 28 college in india which take admission via jee mains rank. The selection process do have some reservations for backward class people.

Here, Faculties are good and well experienced. In every department at least 40-50 profeesor are there for students. There is one HoD for each department. Lab instructors are also well educated and experienced. They conveys the concept in clear way.
