Remarks
College is good for those with academic orientation but you may not be able to enjoy or have fun in some ways if you want to through 4 years of college life. Although the college encourages students to study outside the course and engage in projects which is a plus point
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is very much updated upto the latest standards. Also the exam structure for internals is computer based tests or CBTs. The exam and course structure although good often makes college life hectic for me.
Placement Experience
Being a student in Coimbatore Institute of Technology, everyone will get placed in one of the companies. They'll invite more and more company for both internships and jobs. Company like De shaw, Bosch, Through goods are coming every year for placement with high salery. The stipend ranges from 3 Lpa to 40Lpa based on the companies.
College Events
Only Two events-Maaya(Annual Technocultural Fest)(Odd Sem) and Activity Day(Even Sem). The events are still in their initial stages are participation rate in them is not very high. Management doesn't give permission for many of the events which students want to hold.
Fee Structure And Facilities
3. 2 LPA(via PESSAT), 1LPA(via CET), 7LPA(Management Quota) according to me is a bit expensive compared to contemporary private colleges because not many facilities are provided by the college as per the fee they charge
Fees and Financial Aid
MRD scholarship-40 percent scholarship to 20 percent of students getting a GPA of 8. 5 or above, also other scholarships like CNR rao are provided. All students irrespective of branch or Admission Quota are eligible for them.
Campus Life
The college basically focuses less on extracocurricular activities. Studies societies are next to zero. Although lot to technical workshops are held in the college, it lacks cultural events. The gender ratio is pretty decent at 2:1
Hostel Facilities
Im staying in Pg the rent amount in per month 1000. For food we are going for mess. In mess 2000 for month they provide ful meals 3 times a day. In PG we are staying 2 members in one room. PG owner provide 24 hrs water current. But in our PG not having any wifi facility.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of PES University is actually good. The University keeps the Alumni network as one of its priorities and the placements are actually good because if it's alumni network. The seniors are helpful although there is a slight communication gap between us and the seniors
Admission
I came to know about this college from my known relatives in Bengaluru. There are two methods of admission to this college-KCET AND PESSAT. KCET is primarily for those who have lived in Karnataka for atleast 7 years whereas PESSAT is an entrance exam open to all across India. Since I belonged outside Karnataka, so I wrote PESSAT and got a seat in the Electronic City campus in the counselling process.
Faculty
Faculty I would atleast for the first years is average. Many of the faculty can't communicate well the topic they are teaching although few of them are really good. The faculty are also pretty strict at times regarding discipline and attendance
