Remarks
One of the Best Engineering College in India. It's located on the beach side so one can visit the beach really often. Airport is only 20km and railways station is just 8 km. One can enjoy the campus life as well as city life here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum is well balanced with Labs, theory and tutorial classes. Some subjects are taught regardless of the course you have opted for which is kind of discouraging. For example the students of Computer Science main stream are study chemistry experiments. So this part can be improved.
Placement Experience
I'm still a first year so I haven't received an internship outside campus, but our institution provides internship and mentorshipp programs in college based start ups. After 3rd year official internships and placements starts. In which companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe and Amazon has recruited.
College Events
There is a Technical Fest called Engineer, while there's a beach festival, as our college has its own private beach, UDAAN. There's also India's second largest Cultural Fest called Incident. These fests really stand out from other fests happening around the country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Really feasible. Along with many scholarships available on basis of merit and means. Annually the college fees including mess and hostel is 96000 without any scholarship. In which 62500 is tuition fees. 29500 is Mess fees and 4000 is Hostel fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
If annual income is less than 100000 than 100% tuition fee redemption. If annual income between 100000-500000 then ?rd of the tuition fee redemption. If you are an SC/ST/PWD Student then 100% tuition fee redemption and if you are an OBC then ?rd of tuition fee redemption.
Campus Life
No discrimination is done. And each and every sport is available here. Like swimming, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, high jump, long jump, gymnastics, atheletics, tennis, kabaddi, table tennis, etc.
Hostel Facilities
All facilities are more than enough. There's a sharing room where 3 students stay in one room. With each person having his own bed, cupboard, table, chair, shelf and lan port and fan. There are common bathrooms.
Alumni/Alumna
Really good alumni network. There are held many regular seminars and meetings in which the alumni of various batches come and share their experience and knowledge. They tell us the wide opportunities present in our field.
Admission
I gave my entrance Exam Jee Main which is an all India examination in which over a million students appear in total. I got a percentile of 99. 8615403 and an All India Rank of 1730. After the results the merit list was announced in which I got admission into this prestigious Institution. The admission process is really convinient and the faculty is really helpful. I chose Computer Science because of my interest in problem solving.
Faculty
All are really experienced and helpful. Leaving only one or two profeesors aside, all other faculty are always there for you. There is atleast one faculty to every 10 students with each and every faculty having atleast a PhD.
