Remarks
The past two years or so have produced perhaps the most rapid changes ever seen in higher education. The “completion agenda” set forth by President Obama and the Lumina Foundation has enabled institutions to focus on the graduation of all students, rather than only those who enter as part of a specific first-time full-time freshman cohort. Concurrently, the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has generated a substantially increased focus on the potential for degree completion through an online environment. These changes have also generated a significant amount of competitive recruiting, marketing and advertising in efforts to enroll mostly non-traditional (older, returning adult) students, the consumers of higher education.
Course Curriculum Overview
Like many students at university, you may be unhappy about the results you attain in exams. You may feel that even with all you are doing there must be something more -- or different-- you could be doing to get better grades. We have all at some time or other heard of that student who only studies a couple of hrs for final exams and scores A's every time. We stand in awe of those who seem to breeze through without undue effort and seem to need very little in the way of studying to nail an exam. The reasons for success, in what I think are the vast majority of cases, are less esoteric than many students think: successful students consistently apply a series of productive strategies with view to attaining clearly identified learning and grade goals throughout the academic term.
Placement Experience
Placement in Mechanical Engineering is 100 percent. All the eligible students are placed in the reputed companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hero honda, hero moto Corp, L & T, Byjus etc. The initial salary is low as compared to CSE and ECE branch but after a year there is always rise in salary. Yes some internships are provided through campus with a stipend of 10-15k per month. The internship period is of only 2 months in summer break.
College Events
Tatva(technical fest). The technical fest has all kinds of activities, seminars, guest appearances and concerts. They host a colourfull event throughout the weekend. Students from all the colleges can attend this fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible and affordable. Different provisions are provided for different students according to their family annual income. Students with more than 5 lakhs have to submit 75000 tution fees. Students with annual income b/w 1lakh to 5 lakh have to submit 30000 for 1 semester. Students with income less than 1 lakh have to submit 10000 for a semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Scheme is in operational since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students having family income of less than Rs.6 lakh per annum, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. Annual target is 82000 scholarships per year (41000 for boys and 41000 for girls) which has been divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State’s population in the age group of 18-25 years. Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from a particular Board of Examination in class XII and pursuing regular course and not availing benefit of any other scholarships, are eligible to apply under this Scheme. The rate of scholarship is Rs. 10, 000/- per annum for the first three years and Rs. 20, 000/- per annum for the fourth and fifth year.
Campus Life
The college has all the extra curricular activities and facilities required for those activities. Sports and activities include: table tennis, cricket, football, basketball, throwball, music, yoga, dance etc.
Alumni/Alumna
There isba strong relationship between students and alumni. A different club is also formed to keep that relationship strong. There is a alumni meet every year in which alumni from batch before 10 years come to college and recall their past experience.

Faculty
Now obviously this is exaggerated. I would hope no one defends college with that exact claim. But on to my question. What are your opinions on college? Do you think it's overrated? DO you think it's a nice experience? What? And I BEG of all of you to refrain from the "college is what you make of it" comments. We know that. Anything in life is what you make of it so singling out college as "what you make of it" is kinda silly. Edit: Not to be mean or anything, but can incoming freshman refrain from posting "what they think college is going to be like" here? I don't mind you posting here but there's nothing more annoying than incoming freshman who think they know all and then when they get to college and see how different it is they want to run here and fill the forums with "It's been a week and still made no friends." threads.
