My review

It is definitely a great college, I would definitely Miss it. We do have an amazing faculty during the final year. It is said to be one the best commerce colleges in Pune. The infrastructure and the academic is amazing.

The course structure is very chilled. There is no attendance requirement. The exams are quite easy. I had selected the IT subject, so I did have my practicals twice a week. They were conducted regularly, but again it was upon us whether to attend or not. We had two terms in a year and two unit tests as well. The final result consisted the marks of each exam.

I did not opt for any internships through the college. But did receive a lot of messages from the college for several placements. We have a separate placement cell, which looks forward to all these matters and it does work effectively.

We have several elocution and general knowledge competitions. Cash prizes are also awarded. Our college is famous for our annual college fest, INFINITY. It is very popular and several celebrities are also invited. It involves singing and dancing competition, concerts, different stalls, etc.

The college is provided a grant from the government, so the fees are very nominal. During FYJC my fees were somewhere between 3500-4000, but as I opted for IT subject, I had to pay an additional amount of 7000 rupees. The same in SYJC. During Bcom my fees were below 3500 for each year.

I don't know of any scholarships. I did hear about some scholarships which were provided on caste basis, but I was not eligible for any because of my caste. I don't know of any scholarships on the basis of marks because I am not a part of Pune jurisdiction.

Our college is very famous in several sports and competitions. We have different teams for several sports and we do win a lot of competitions throughout Pune and outside Pune as well. I did not participate in any because of the tough competition.

I have not interacted much with any of my seniors. I am not very good with communicating. But I saw my friends taking the help of several seniors and staff members. The teachers did respond without fussing about it.

I have the joined the college after completing my 10th. Our college is a part of Savitribai Phule University, so we had a centralised processing system for our admissions. We had to fill in a form initially, for joining the process. After our results we had to fill a form which required us to point out our preferences. Based on our marks and our preferences we were allotted the seats. I had put BMCC as my first preference and Ness Wadia as the second one. I got a seat in Ness Wadia. Then later on we had to fill another form and submit it in the college, which included the subjects we wished to select.

The faculty is filled with different kinds of teachers. Some are Highly qualified and make sure that they create an interest in their particular subjects. At the same time, some just come and sit out the lecture. As the attendance is not a major issue, the students attending regular lectures is very few. The teachers also tend to bunk the lecture sometimes.
