There was no management politics that hampered a students life.
Entrance Preview
During my admission time i.e. Year 2002, admissions were based on the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) group marks scored in HSC. I had scored pretty well. 90.56%, although this wasn't the best score to enter the best colleges, I got admission into one of the well known Engineering college under Pune University.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen Electronics stream. That was what interested me. The first year subjects though were versatile, but interesting. Mathematics, civil engineering, engineering drawing were tough to pass.
Internships Opportunities
We didn't have a internship kind of system. So no stipend offered. The last year included external project of 1 year but that didn't offer us any experience letter or internship nor stipend.
Placement Experience
There were few campus interviews. Good companies like wipro, Satyam had been at our campus for recruitment. The placements have improved over time now and there are many companies visiting our college.
College Events
I thoroughly enjoyed my college days. Apart from the engineering studies, mind changer programmes were always there. Be it annual function or the days we celebrated are unforgettable. There used to be musical programmes and students were encourages to participate. Fashion show was the main attraction. Our college also participates in the state level theater competition- Purushottam Karandak.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was feasible for students. The early fees were 16 thousand. The books were not expensive. The college library was good and we could borrow books from the library.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not aware of any loan facilities if offered by my college. I did not avail any of the scholarships and I am not sure about the same.
Campus Life
We were encouraged to participate in the IIT tech fest that takes place in IIT Powai Mumbai. The faculty supported and helped us. There were sports days music competitions, debate competitions. In addition many inter college competitions that we represented like paper writing competitions which were national level.
Hostel Facilities
The college hostel was bit away from the college premises. The hostel provided good staying and food facilities. The hostel fees were supposed to be paid annually and was somewhere around 12000 all inclusive. The mess was not that great not that bad too.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors were very helpful. No ragging was allowed in our college. The seniors always helped us with the notes and books which they found helpful. They even took out some time to teach us the topics we found difficult.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is defined by Pune university. It was properly balanced. The days were busy but not at all tiring. The labs and lectures time table was properly arranged.
Faculty
The facility of the college was knowledgeable.They tried to cover the whole syllabus and and also answer all our queries. They even arranged extra lectures for exam and lab practise.
