College Management was good as most of the councels were managed by the students itself. Overall I love being a part of IIT BHU

To be honest the course structure lacks a little the research mindset which IITs were supposed to follow. Still its the college which taught me the way to lead a happy and prosperous life. The courses are well organised to give a clear and concise glimpse of the subject but it was mostly thoretical. I think they should now focus more towards the practical side.

The placement is very good. Almost all the willing students will get a job for sure. A lot of companies will come to the campus to hire students for different profiles based on their requirements.

We have so many fests almost related to every sphere of our college life whether its sports or technology or culture. Our sports fest is 'SPARDHA' in which there is participation from various different colleges including other IITs and NITs. Similarly we have a cultural fest know as 'KASHIYATRA' which conducts so many events and there is paticipation from all over India. Similarly we have one for technology, our technical fest known as 'TECHNEX' which will attract participation all over the country for its various technical events. Overall it was fun being a part of all these fests and events.

Fees for all the IITs are same.During my time it was around 1 lacs per year anf there were additional mess charges. But from the following year the academic fee has increased to 2 lacs per years plus the mess fee. But they do provide some scholarships and some relaxations for economically backward classes.

Underprivileged students who has financial difficulty, also has the convenience of continuing their education at Indira College of Commerce & Science through Scholarship scheme under SPPU. For girls there are more scholarship available based on their merit criteria. And also for all students various scholarships are available which helps students to pay college fee and exam fee.

The campus life was really awesome with so many friends who were very much similar to you who are always ready to roam around with you. Talking about the gender ratio, it was around 25:2 and thus you can imagine the situation. There were various types of events occuring during various fests which I have already mentioned.

The Hostels are managed centrally under Shree Chanakya Education Society. There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls with common canteen and Gymnasium. The rate for the hostel for a academic year is approx. Around 90000 to 100000 including the mess fees. The hostel rooms are cleaned and specious. They also provides high scale facilities to students like washing machine and TV room common for all.

Yes the alumni network is very helpful as tgey are the one who can guide you well as they have already faced a more or less a similar situtaions like yours. The alumni network is also very strong in our college.

In my Civil Engineering branch, there were around 20 professors and some of them were really good having good knowledge of the subjects. Their average age would be around 45 and most of them have done their Phd from any IITs or any other higher instituitions as per the criteria to be a professor in IITs
