Remarks
The college is overall really nice and also is currently the best government college in the city. Sometimes things might not go as decided and may lead to problems but they are solved with mutual understanding. The college is not the best in extracurricular activities and internships. If someone is looking for more studies that extracurricular activities then it might work but if you are more of a guy who loves doing extracurricular activities then you might want to go with any other opetions.
Course Curriculum Overview
For me, the structure of the course is well organised because it is designed in a way that if a student doesn't knows about programming or much about how computers work, they teach from the very beginning and take the level to a better level within the duration of the course. The labs are updated with latest equipment to help us stay up to date. The exams are also well conducted under the guidance of Panjab University. The dates are set so as to allow the whole syllabus to be revised accordingly.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are given to students from time to time. Every six months they provide us with job fests where more than around 40 companies come at the campus to provide jobs to the students. The college doesn't provide any internship.
College Events
The college organises a variety of events like the annual tech fest, youth fest, sports tournaments, sports day etc. These are really big events and can attract a huge amount of participants and audience. As of last year i. e. 2019 the total participants in sports fest were nearly 1600 and the total audience was around 4000 people including faculty. Participation is easy, you just need to register to the teacher concerned and be present at the day of event with a valid ID.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is feasible for most students, and for those who cannot afford it can apply for a deduction or scholarship. The fees ranges for different streams. For BCA the semester fees is around 20, 000 it may be a little bit more or little bit less.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available for the students who are good at studies and are unable to afford the fee due to some reason. Also one can apply for an education loan from all the banks. I have not opted for any of those but I can guarantee that both options are available and working well.
Campus Life
The gender ratios can vary based on the streams in the BCA department it is 1 girl : 15 boys whereas in the Commerce department it is 13 girls : 15 boys. Their are various society and one can join them based on their interests. Their is no discrimination based on the race, religion, gender etc. whatsoever and if anyone faces such discrimination he/she can report it to the college faculty and it will lead to suspension of the concerned parties. Also ragging is totally banned in the premises and their is also an anti ragging committee to take care that everything is under control.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are really helpful and friendly, we spend a lot of time together discussing about our day to day life and different experiences and also they can help us with the curriculum by providing notes as well as solving any other problems. I have not had any interaction with the alumni of the college.
Admission
It was nearby my house so I just gave the entrance test to the college and I was not eligible for scholorship so I have joined through management qouta. This is how I got the admission to this college.
Faculty
The faculty in the college is well qualified and we'll trained with loads of experience. The teaching strategy makes it easier for students to understand everything. As I have experienced they sometimes get a little bit strict depending on your behaviour towards them. Overall they are friendly and really helpful.
