Remarks

There is no proper communication system between students and management.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is relatively outdated. There is nothing related to industry specific knowledge. They used to conduct exam every week which was totally needless. It didn't benefit a inch. There is agenda of research driven knowledge. It feels like i have only studied it to clear my papers. Yes in the 4th year a visit to an industry was organised which clearly is not adequate.

Placement Experience

0.5

The company which have visited this year to my college are Abyeti, edge telecom, metalman, shivani locks, vtech solutions etc. Different procedures for recruitment are: written, gd, technical interview and then pi. Not all the companies follow above mentioned all the process. Yes they indeed give ppt for placement drives. And their sole focus is of placing the students somewhere they don't care about the package.

College Events

0.5

Their is an annual technical fest in the sake of every thing, whether it is cultural, technical, management festival and nothing else. It is a three day fest. There are different events like contraception, waste management, gaming events like pubg gaming, call of duty, need for speed, fifa etc. Then there will be 1or 2 adventure sports will be also present like bull riding, paint ball etc. Then electrica branch organises circuitrix, jam etc. There are treasure hunt, tech Roadies, just a minute. Then it comes to non technical events like extemporary, essay writing, MUN etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite feasible. College accept all most all type of mode of payment now. Earlier it was not the case. And the breakdown of fee structure is quite clear. They did charge extra 20000 from students who have booked their seat and said that it will be adjusted in fee but only for some students it so the case.

Fees and Financial Aid

No college didn't provide for any kind of scholarship. I have opted for educational loan on my own from bank. The process varies depending on different banks.

Campus Life

1

Probably the worst experience any will have in their college life. In my batch gender ratio is near about 7:1 with respect to boys to girls. Labs are ill-equipped, 6 students group have to do particular experiment together, no any real technical support is provided. Equipments are also very old and outdated. Management is biased towards native speakers. No proper facilities for sports except for basketball. Students are not allowed to have birthday cakes during birthday celebration at 12 a.m. and if you will be found with cakes it will be seized at campus gate.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Yes i have opted for hostel. The hostel room are very bad, all most every room has sepage issue. The rooms are relatively small. Mess food is also of very bad quality. Their is no locker for roommates. The washroom doesn't possess any basin. Management barks about the wifi speed but it is also not true.

Alumni/Alumna

Sometimes some of the alumni will come to college for their personal work are chosen for interaction with students.

Admission

I have appeared for jee mains and based on the ranking of it i got admission there. I have heard from some people that it was good for b.tech but after taking admission i realised it was not the case. As the process happened 4 years ago i can not exactly provide the dates on what happened on which date. But about the process i can tell in brief. After declaration of jee mains rank i had to apply for ojee, there was no exam of ojee but the process of counselling was there. I filled my choices on ojee website and i had to fee some amount of fee for that. After that i got this college in 1st round and there was other rounds too. Then i had to go for document verification process which happened at different locations in Odisha and successful verification of documents i was ready to go for admission process at the respective college.

Faculty

0.5

In my department there will be only 8-10 faculty for all the batches i.e. for 2nd,3rd and 4th year. Their average age will be around 40 and the minimum qualification is m.tech. They all are expert of almost every subject any body can teach anything just like jack of all and master of none.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
