AIEEE 32198, I chose this college due to the reputation it had in kolkata for being a stand alone college with a good track record of campusing.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was based on WBUT course plan. The course is not carrier oriented and needs to be updated. Electronics and communication and ever changing stream is still dealing with old micro processor and communication knowledge and it never strives to go any thing over the very basic knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
There are no college internship program offered by BPPMIT. Only during final year a few students are granted the opportunity to intern at very select few IT companies.
Placement Experience
2012 placement was fine usually every year the percentage of actual students getting jobs excluding the number of people who get selected in multiple companies is around 60% .Which is fine considering the situatiin in other colleges.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure for 2012 passout was very feasible. 20500 per Semester. Now its around 30k but inckudes laptop snd free wifi. Previously that was not available.
Fees and Financial Aid
College has a concession system which select students can avail after certain paperworks are submitted. They are considered if their family is under the poverty line and there dgpa is above a Certain threshold. There are no loan facility given by the college.
Campus Life
Campus life is excellent in bppimt. There is however a lack of space in the college but is made up by the excellent people and environment. Students are free to explore their skills and interests and there are yearly tech fests cultural fests, freshers and farewells.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is very strong in bppimt with many big achievers being a passout from the college. The number of companies that come for campus recruitment to bppimt are due to the wide network of alumnis in different influential positions in IT and other industries.
Faculty
The faculty was well trained and very helpful. There are ofcourse exceptions everywhere but as a whole great faculty who are only limited by the curriculum. The lab faculty need more training.
