Remarks

College management is good and cooperative. However, cafeteria is not managed properly.

Course Curriculum Overview

No industrial visits were organised. Curriculum as such is not designed as per the real world scenario. However, classroom studies are exactly as per the syllabus and faculty is very much knowledgeable and supportive. There is a semester system for examinations.

Placement Experience

College doesn't groom students for the campus placements. Moreover, very less company comes to the college and they are not amongst the famous ones.

College Events

There are many societies in our college and they organise different festivals from time to time. Comfiesta and Ragnigandha are one of the most crowded festivals of the college. Our college also organizes an annual fest wherein a star singer from Punjabi music industry is invited to perform.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My fees was around 10000 per year. No, there is no additional fees charged by the college during admission. Yes, college provide transparency in fee breakdown. It always shows the tution fees, maintenance fees, etc in the fee receipt. The fees is not expensive either.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I had not opted for any scholarship or educational loan. There is a scholarship programme for people belonging to weaker sections of the society and for scheduled castes & scheduled tribes.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is equal in our college. Sports facilities are also provided to the students. There is a cricket ground, Volleyball court and basketball court in our college and it is regularly maintained. Every year elections are held in our college at University level and college level both.

Alumni/Alumna

No, I have not interacted with them. We don't have any group to connect with any alumni or senior students. Although, seniors are were very helpful during my college days.

Admission

Check the cutoff lists and go to the college when you think you can get admission on merit basis. Prime location of college was the key factor to choose. Also, it is an evening college so if you are a working professional then you can do your job while pursuing your graduation.

Faculty

Faculty of the college is mixed. There are some aged lecturers as well as some young lecturers. In first 2 years of your college you would get experienced lecturers that are aged. This is because they transfer a lot of knowledge to young students. In the last year, young lecturers would prepare students to face real world and tell their experiences to us so that we could follow their path.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
