Jadavpur University a place of success

It is one of the best universities in India with lots of good faculties.

The course is 4 years based with a total of 8 semesters. It's a great platform to make a sign in professional life as it's one of the best engineering colleges in India. There is lab-based test facility with very good faculties. In this 4 year course, an industrial tour with a survey camp takes place during 6th semester.

There are so many great companies that have visited the college, such as Vedanta, L&T, MN Dastur, Tata Consulting Services, Bridge & Roof, CE Testing Company Pvt ltd, Simplex, Infosys. Average 60-65% students placed every year. And there are different procedures of different companies. Mainly General procedure 1) Written Test/Online test, 2) Group Discussion, 3) Technical & hr interview.

There are some technical events held in the college, 1) Various types of seminars on various industrial fields, 2) Projector based assignments, 3) Survey week on the campus. There are various cultural events also such as 1) ARENA a various sports tournament and cultural program, 2) F.E.T.S.U an engineering faculty cultural program.

The Fee structure of Jadavpur University is the least in the Whole Indian Universities. We have to pay only Rs. 2500 per year only no other extra expenses have to carry. And during the semester we have to pay only Rs. 64 as semester fee. It is really a good achievement for the middle class or lower-middle-class even for poor students.

No, I have not opted for any scholarship. As the scholarships were given based on both merit and guardian's annual income I didn't get any scholarship for my father's govt job.

It was really a handsome college life with lots of friends, lots of cultural programs, lots of sports. The sex ratio was really so poor for engineering streams like civil, mechanical. During my time there were only 4 girls with 90 boys. To tell about the extra curriculum activity there were lots of sports tournaments like football, cricket, basketball, carom, chess, race, long jump, high jump, etc.

As hostel seats are few many of us choose either mess or PG's. An amount of 1500-2000 has to pay per month as room rent per person and if we add our daily expenses then nearly Rs. 4000 to 6000 have to spend per month.

Every year all the students organize a reunion program to meet the alumni with present students and it's really a great achievement for the Jadavpurian as all alumni really help a lot.

Through WBJEE-2013 and got admission on 27th July 2013. I got admitted to Jadavpur University through online counseling. Jadavpur University is the best university under wbjee and I have a very high desire to get admission in this University and I come to know from seniors that civil engineering will be the platform for great future and that's why I had chosen.

There are around 20 professors, assistant professors, and associate professors with an average age of 40 years, and around 90% of professors have PhDs. Some professors have industrial experience and help the students with their placement. The professors have very good knowledge of subjects.
