The course is highly profession-oriented. Based on what you are going to do, training is imparted from the beginning. Practical knowledge, as well as theoretical aspects, are given equal importance. It's an all-boys college. However, instructors can be of the opposite gender. Physical education is given a high priority. Extracurricular activities like horse riding and swimming are part of the curriculum. All kinds of sports like Polo, boxing, shooting, football, hockey, volleyball are not only given due importance but also adequate facilities are available to develop.

The hostel is compulsory. 18 hostels are there divided into 5 groups of 4 each with 5th having only two. Mess is common and each hostel has around 100-110 students. Each hostel building has a capacity of approximately 120 and students normally don't share and are given private rooms.

The seniors take care of juniors to develop. Alumnus often visits during the course which also happens to be some of the greatest people in their spheres of life.

First, there is a written exam consisting of two papers with one being mathematics. Then clearing it is an interview and finally a medical examination. Passing all three a merit list is prepared and based on a number of eligibility and merit seats are filled.

The faculty is highly qualified and experienced. The academic instructors are often alumni of IITs and other prestigious colleges of India. The professional instructors are often highly recognized individuals from the industry and mostly the alumnus of the same college.
