Remarks

I would say that the college faculty and management is extremely helpful. The campus is something which can be improved.

Entrance Preview

I took CET where I was ranked 6513. I chose this college because it was one the top ranked ones with an excellent and reputed faculty. I chose mechanical as information science was not available for my rank. But later I was able to shift branches on merit.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was pretty good with a variety of options for electives in networking, artificial intelligence, security and systems etc. The courses were very detailed and inclined more towards the technical aspects.

Internships Opportunities

At our college we did not have any internship opportunities. Though a lot of companies came during campus placement such as netapp, bosch, accenture, wipro, infosys, l&t etc. It was a mix of core as well as service companies but we did not get any internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

3.5

A lot of companies came during campus placement such as netapp, bosch, accenture, wipro, infosys, l&t etc. It was a mix of core as well as service companies. The packages were in the range of 2.5L to 8L. Dream companies such as Adobe were ready to pay even more.

College Events

3.5

At our college we had a host of yearly fests and cultural events. These events gave us an opportunity to meet students from other colleges. More than 25 colleges across the city would participate in the events. We would have both inter-college as well as intra-college events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since i joined the college through cet the fee structure was fixed as well as completely feasible . We paid around 30,000 every year which was in accordance with the cet rules.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there were no scholarships provided by my college. Neither was the college providing any kind of loans for the students at that time.

Campus Life

2.5

The campus was not big at all which was a bery big negative for the students. The gender ratio was about 3:2 which was pretty standard for any college. There would be lot of extra curricular games and activities in many of the departments which gave us a chance to mingle with everyone and freshen our minds. The hostel life is something I cannot comment on. There wasnt any kind of discrimination wrt sex religion or caste.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I did not stay at the hostel so it woild not be right for me to comment on the same. But as per my friends the facilities were average with the food being well below average.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni and senior students were bery helpful. During technical events or campus placements they provided us with a lot of tips and advice which helped us to crack their exams and face the difficult interviews.

Exam Structure

The exams were of two kinds: internals which was held every other month as well as externals which was kind of like a final exam for the semester. The internals would ensure that we were up to date with our studies and faced no problems during the externals. Also it was structured such that there wouldnt be any pressure on us with time.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty at Bit information science department was a mixture of experience professors as well as young associates. They were very talented and eager to teach us new stuff.
