My college

College management is rather bad. They is a delay in dilevery of information.work is procastinated here.this requires attention and needs to improve.

Curriculum is pretty outdated and research based.These are of some help for campusing.Most company visiting us are it based company for your which one has to learn coding on our own.However it's a Paradise for research enthusiast.for it job I think the curriculum is not of that much help.

Placements here is at par with the iits.companies including Texas instruments,Samsung research,cirel system.non core companies include Goldman Sachs, Amazon,Airbus, Microsoft. When a company visit they circulate a Google form asking general details from the targeted students.Follows a online coding round and a personal interview. About 90% people gets placed. Senior helps a lot during the placement. There is no specific program by the college for training individual for placement.

Two fest are organized.srijan,the annual techno management fest.it is the largest in Kolkata. It has variety of events lined up including coding event, picking event, robotics events. Sanskriti is the cultural fest which is a 10 day long event.it include westen night,eastern night.Mostly new and underrated band are invited to perform here.

The biggest advantage of this college is it's fee structure.its only about 10000 for 4 year couses. First 5000 is to be paid at the time of admission.rest is to be paid after 3 rd year. No additional fees has to be paid to secure admission. Yes the college provide transparency in the fee breakdown.

I haven't opted for a scholarship for this course.however the college provide scholarship to the economically backward student.Scholarship is provided on a economic condition basis.The amount is paid by the alumni association in connection with the college. There is also a interview round which is a deciding factor to avail this scholarship.

Campus life is great here. Gender ratio is less in engineering section but great in the arts department.There are student union of every faculty.There are many workshops here including the Asia largest lathe machine workshop.Also the diversity of student here is great. We have friend coming from Kashmir and north east.Also many people come here in foreign students exchange.we have many students club including coding club,science club,photography club,painting club,french learning classes? and much more. There is no gender,race,economic bias here in my college.Everyone is equal here and enjoy being together as a family.

Senior are great here. Frequently they come to interact with us. The senior-junior bond is great.They help us in every situation including academic and career. However there is less contact with the alumni.Last year only two of alumni of our department came and gave guidance and tips for a having research career ahead.on an average every year some of our alumni visits our college and share their experiences.

We have to give a state level exam WBJEE.it takes place in month may.result comes in month of July.Accoring to rank you have to fill up the counselling form.Genrally all those under 1000 rank get admission in our college.i got a rank of 180 and this got this branch.

No.of faculty is less. In our branch it about 40 which is half of it's required strength.Average age is 30.they are expert in their field but their ability of making thing interesting is rather bad,at least for me.yes there were some relevant Industry experience /certification.
