Remarks
The college was more academic focused. Telecomm students being less in number had a close supervision from department lecturers. My college was good. The faculty and HOD were supportive. We had choices with the electives we want to study. Dept invested in Guest lecturers from industry to teach us on electives like ISDN as there was no internal capabilities.
Entrance Preview
CET Karnataka. Ranking 1426. BIT Telecomm was No. 3 in Bangalore. I selected this college for the same reason. I was keen on studying Electronics or Telecommunication.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was advanced but was fun studying. The electives were TV engineering, Micro Electronics, Mobile Communication, ISDN, Satellite Communication, Signals and System, Sources and Detectors, VLSI,Control Systems, Network Management, Digital Communication, Microelectronics.
Internships Opportunities
There were no companies for internship. The companies came only for job placements. The few top ones are Syntel, Subex, Motorola, Infosys, Wipro, TCS.

College Events
College used to conduct an Annual Fest every year for their students and staff. We would participate in lot of external events. There were fresher parties and farewell parties organized at department level.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was feasible. Merit Seat fee was 9-11 K per year. The payment seat was additional 25K per year. The fees at that time was very nominal. The CET was only mode of seat allocation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship was offered by college for merit students. I am not aware of the loans offered. The scholarship was offered through CET for Merit seats.
Campus Life
Campus life was good fun. The labs were good. Most of the fun was in labs playing with those devices and instruments. The college almost equal gender ratio. There was no discrimination at student level on ethnicity. There were students from all parts of India. There were no foreigners in our college during my time. The house parties were there among closed group of friends.
Hostel Facilities
I was a localite so not sure about the hostel quality. The hostel was OK. There were good PGs near by for students with nominal price to stay.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not strong. The connect with seniors was only in college. They were helpful and guided when needed.There is no alumni meet organized by our college.
Exam Structure
Exams were twice a year. But internals was once a month.We had lab twice a week. Lab exams and internals were conducted with other exams.
Faculty
Faculty was good. Prof RengaRaju, Shantala, Rajeshwari and Chethan were the few faculties who thought us in telecomm department. There were other shared professors from Electronics Dept.
