Remarks

The good thing about the college is its environment. Yes, you will a nice study environment and teachers are also helpful.Bad thing about this college is its architecture as it dosen't have a ground for hanging out with friends and only have a 7 storied building. But on the brighter side, it is situated in the heart of Bangalore.

Entrance Preview

COMED-K I have taken this college because in private colleges its rank was 53. Also I have consulted seniors and they told me that the college has good faculties and placement is also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It follows VTU university and all the courses are from that prescribed university only. In elective subject they offer TOE, TOP, smart materials, experimental stress analysis, total quality management, automation, tribology, non traditional machining etc.

Internships Opportunities

Accenture, Infosis, wipro, Capgemini, IBM, TCS, L&T infotech, L&T ECC, Treveni turbines, Analytical Quotient they offer around Rs. 3, 25, 000TCE, Fedility, Robert Bosch, Mu-sigma, Groffers. They offer around 5lakhsand few newly opened companies.

Placement Experience

3.5

For ECE, CSE, IT the placement is approx 90-95%. Core branch placement is approx 15-20 % but almost all core students get placed in IT companies.

College Events

1.5

Manthan is college fest of our college and it is celebrated in the month of October. Participants from many colleges of Bangalore come and their are many activities like gaming, dancing fashion shows etc. It is celebrated for three days. Also Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great joy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For COMED-K its somewhat expensive around 1.8 lakhs per year but if you take admission through CET its around 50, 000 per year. The fee can be made less if you belong to backward class but only for karnataka students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, scholarship have been provided to the students who caome from CET entrance test and belong to backward class. Loan is provided by Syndicate bank which is present in the college premises.

Campus Life

2.5

The extracurricular life of the college is on the dull side. As the college dont have a good campus, there are no sports facility in the college. There are no active groups in the college which will provide you a good campus life experience.Yes, the college do have good labs which are well maintained and up to date with the new technologies.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel is good but is little bit diffcult to get. You have to have some internal connection otherwise you have to pay 20k more to get it. Its per year cost is Rs 80, 000. Mess food is good and it has fixed menu for particular day. Each room has three or four beds.

Alumni/Alumna

There are no associations for alumni or senior students in this college. This college will remember you only if you are having a super talent or have done something great in studies.

Exam Structure

There are two semesters in each year and in each sem there are 6 papers for 100 marks each and two labs of 50 marks each. Three internals are taken for each papers of 25 marks of which best of two are taken. Total 900 marks exam is taken for each sem. Exams are frequent but thats good for students.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties of mechanical engineering are good. They do not show any partiality. They complete atleast 5 units which is enough to take semester exam. Some faculties are very good and they give you chance to discover new things like Dr. B.Gurudatt.
