A journey to be remembered

College management needs to be more helpful. They have to listen to the coplain of the student's and have to take proper action.Also have to increase the books in the library.

Appeared for WBJEE. I took electronics and communication engg. Based on the rank we attended our counseling on a given day. Based on the feedback of the seniors studying there I opt my college.

The entire curriculum was divided into 8 semesters. In the first two semesters all the student irrespective of there branch have to study same papers. In the 7 th and 8 th semester we could take elective papers like dbms, maths, embedded system etc.

We have to do one mandatory industrial training after completing 6th semester. So we went to BESU, shibpur(now IIEST). It was more like training than internship.It was 3 weeks training. It was self paid.

In my time placement not upto the mark. The first company visited was TCS.They took almost 71 students. After that companies like tech mahindra, L&T, syntel, Indian army, Microsoft, pen consultancy, etc. Almost 50% student got placed from campusing.

Every year we used to celebrate college fest in a grand manner. singers like MD.Irfan, Toshi visited our campus. We organized oneday hacking workshop of Ankit Fadia in our college.Nearby colleges also participated on that workshop.Every year technical fest was also held in our college.

Fees structure was very much feasible. We had to pay 3.2 lac approximately excluding hostel fees for the entire course.In the time of admission we paid almost 50k after that we paid almost 25k per semester for the remaining seven semester.

There was no scholarship and loan offered by our college but we could avail loan from banks. I got scholarship from WB government.

Students from different parts of India were there. We had very good bonding among ourselves. Life in our college was awesome. We used to enjoy a lot in our college. Robotics workshops were there in every semester.

Hostel rooms were very good and big, airy.It was two sharing rooms.Only vegetables foods were available in the hostel. For the first year students hostel was separate.

We had a good relationship with our seniors. We used to get help from them every time whenever we approached. We had less interaction with our almuni's.

As I already told exams were held semester wise.In every semester there will be more or less six papers.Lab exams also held once in a semester. We used to enjoy a lot during the exams.

Most the faculties were good and qualified. Our HOD was an IEEE member. Faculties used to teach us in very interesting manner and also used to gave practical examples.
