This college is good

College management is the worst as they are not at all helpful.

The curriculum here in is not up to date, the curriculum is very old and the syllabus mainly focus on theoretical aspects while giving very limited exposure to practical knowledge which is very much essential from the engineering point of view. And one of the lacklustre of this syllabus is it's vastness.

Placement Record is very very very bad. The average placement is going down every year and irrespective of whichever branch you belong to, you need to go for IT industry which is pathetic. In case any placement is conducted then it is followed by a Aptitude test followed by an interview. Every year about 30% student made up to campus placement and the percentage is taking dip every year. The institution has no interest in grooming us for any campus placement.

Annual cultural fest is celebrated along with various religious pujas that are celebrated throughout the state of west Bengal. But there are many problems regarding funding of any such events as the college administration is purportedly very corrupt on their part.

The college is very much expensive considering the syllabus followed and the placement conducted. And every year it's course fee is increasing with a top notch but is exactly reverse if we consider the placement record. Moreover the college administration never pays back what enters it's coffers even if it's yours.For example, I still not got my security deposit when it has been 4 years since I passed out from that college.

Based on performance I was selected for W.B.F.S. scheme, which was one of the reason of choosing this particular college.

There are many sports that are contected by our college.they are football, crickey, batminton, and other athletics.Studies have revealed that students who are involved in athletic activities achieve better scores through their education.

No I didn't opt for hostel as it was a bit messy considering unhygienic washrooms along with dirty rooms help me make my mind of staying out of hostel. Issued in PG throughout my college years for which I paid 1500appx. On monthly basis which included fooding and electricity bills along with that of water.

Alumni network if this college is very weak as there is lack of Reunion. Though pass out sstudent were placed in various reputed companies.

I have got admission in GEC through my rank in cgpet.we have to fill the form with details for getting admission in this college. You have to give preference to the one of the branches in which you want to take admission. There are 5 rounds of counseling. Actually 3 rounds are there but in case there are vacant. Sheet then the college wants to fill that so there are further 2 spot round for that.

I didn't remember the exact number of lectures I attended during the course but roughly it's somewhere between 300-400 throughout the Engineering life. Most of the teachers were appointed casual basis and aged between 30-50 and most of them had M.E or M.Tech except the permanent faculties among whom many were either pursuing PhD or had one. But still the quality of teaching in this college is very poor as they don't pay much heed to clarify out queries on any problem whole heartdly and end up doing half hearted futile attempts. Also, they made no such attempts to prepare us for industry.
