Positive- It is one of the Best College in terms of faculties, seniors, education, research, placement and job opportunity. Negative- No sports, hectic routine, few unnecessary subjects included in the syllabus.

The university offers undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral degrees. The undergraduate courses offer B. Tech in engineering fields including Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Biotechnology (BT), Civil Engineering (CE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME) while the postgraduate courses offer M. Tech (CSE, ECE). There is a provision for Ph. D in various streams of Engineering.

This year’s placement has been extraordinary so far - 770 job offers within the first placement drive and it’s only September so yeah, if your concerns are placement, you don’t need to look elsewhere. It is the annual technical festival of IEM and UEM Kolkata which is organised in March. [11] INNOVACIÓN is the Spanish word of innovation. It consists of many technical events like- Robotics, Coding, Gaming, Circuit designing etc. as well as workshops and seminars on various technologies including Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Aeronautics, Ethical hacking.

University of Engineering and Management offers numerous courses under the field of Engineering, Management, Medical Science, etc. The fees structure for the major courses is mentioned below the course fee for all specializations of B. Tech degree is INR 90,000 per annum. The fee structure for MBA program is INR 90,000 per annum. The course fee for M. Sc is INR 50,000 per annum.

UEM Kolkata has a well equipped library with all modern facilities including online databases, video lectures, books, journals, theses, reports. The library remains open 24 hrs for 365 days in the year. Students and faculty members can access the library at any time in any day. The modern digital library is equipped with sufficient computers and multimedia learning aids for students.

Seeing the current scenario of our country in employment I feel proud to be in uem family as they are preparing students with required skillset they need to claim a job. Very active placement cell is there. Teacher and students relation is very close as I have experienced. Fee structure and facilities. 60000 per sem for my degree which is reasonable compared to the infrastructure we get and the faculties. There are atleast 5 computer labs and labs for other streams as well.

IEM students engage themselves in a range of co-curricular activities through various clubs. The clubs conduct regular meetings wherein presentations are made by senior students on various topics on current issues. The Cultural Club of IEM-UEM group comprises of MBA students who regularly organize activities like film festivals, music, drama, quiz, dance, competitions, Teacher’s Day etc. It is one out of the three clubs of the institute, comprising of all the students of MBA, who are interested in finance and investment. This year students of this club participated in events like “Money Matters 2016” conducted by CMA & CSA and “Innovative Business Plan” and became winners.

At the undergraduate level, the varsity particularly emphasises on the results of the self-conducted IEMJEE examination, in addition to the class 10 and 12 board results. For those candidates who could not secure a good position in WBJEE or JEE (Main) can also take admission via counselling session and on the basis of boards results. Candidates who want to pursue their Ph. D. at the University have to take the entrance exam mandatorily along with students applying to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The IEMJEE examination is conducted in multiple phases.

Truely speaking, companies are not going to offer you big packages because your faculties are big degree holders. Instead they are gonna pay you for what you have learnt. Most of the UEM faculty are also the teachers of IEM. To be noted as you questioned, all of them are highly qualified and capable teachers. UEM is a Young University and will soon turn out to be one of the biggest universitites. But beware, life is disciplined here at both IEM and UEM. So you may not enjoy these years, but enjoy in your life later on.
