Remarks

A lot of politics in everything, favourism, cheating in exams, labs have limited equipments unless its a CSE or IT.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The college is affilated to WBUT. I would say the structure of the course is good enough, which is according to WBUT, but the college itself is very bad, most of the teachers have no knowledge about the subjects, would just give out notes and assignments to you. CS, IT etc qre okayish, mech, civil, electrical branches are pathetic. The college itself is not well recognised. If you are into self studies, you can do well in your studies, but again, the placement facilities are also very limited, infrastructure is minimal.

Placement Experience

3

The college will not provide any internship, the teachers might give you a few references where you can go and pay the additional feea to get your internship done. If you have the correct sources, then you wont have problem, seniors can be approqched. College will be ready to give a recommendation for you training or internship

College Events

2.5

Annual fest - includes stage shows, competetions like face painting, singing, dancing etc NEN entrepreneur cell events, Asha (social cause) events, Robotics - Manual and Computer based, Sports tournaments - Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, chess. Debate - inter college and within college, Freshers - if you're lucky enough, you will get freshers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive of i start comparing with the other private colleges in west bengal with respect to the value provided. The tution fees is bearable which is excluse of hostel fees, hostel charges are extra and around 50-60000 extra annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didnt opt for any loan or scholarship. The college has some facilities for people below BPLonly hostel fees will be charged for those students if applied under that quota in advance.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is okayish, CSE, IT, ECE has a balanced gender ratio, core brances has more males than females. THE LABS will just fulfill your requirements, the practicals in your course will be completed, most of them. But during your project work the chances are high that you might not find proper resources. Sports is there, enough number of competetions, tournaments. Small Cultural programs, Entrepreneur Cell, Robotics, Social cause events, debates everything is there but politics prevails there too.

Hostel Facilities

2

Yes, the rooms are absolutely normal, no fancy facilities. You can go for attached bathroom or common bathroom, there are few single rooms also. Normal yellow paint, cupboard provided, separate single beds, if you take double occupancy.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were very helpful, and they would guide you out in the placement. But most of the students are not exactly into studies, mostly they're into alcohol weed and stuff, and academica goes south if the seniors you get are not good.

Admission

Once you've cleared your WbJEE or your IIT mains, there is an online college selection, or you can directly apply on the college website or by physically visiting them. You can choose your course there during the counseling and get the admission. Pretty easy process to follow.

Faculty

3

Most of the subject are not clearly taught, only notes are preferred, concepts are not cleared in detail and some teachers do not even care if you're understanding or not. Self study is a must, the library will provide you all the books you need, teachers can be approached for doubts anytime if you have a good rapport with them.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
