Entrance Preview

I took the AIEEE entrance exam and ranked somewhere aound 8000 in all India basis rank. I opted for this college as it had a good review and one of the best college with respect to my rank. I wanted to keep options for both IT as well as core which would be helpful during my final year placement for which I took the Electronic and Telecommunication.

Internships Opportunities

We didn't have any facility for internship in our college. In the final year we were appearing directly for placements which included both Core as well as IT companies.

Placement Experience

We were allowed to appear both oncampus as well as offcampus drives.I had appeared for Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Mphasis.I was selected in TCS as well as in Congizant and the starting package was around 3lacs per annum.Job opportunities weregreat.

College Events

We had several technical events like robotics, technical quiz, programming contest. We had events where other colleges were also invited to participate in them.We had also annual function where all the cultural events were held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure varies from college to college and the features you are opting for. For me it was around 60k per year that sums to roughly 2.5 lacs for 4 years.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there was no scholarship or loan facility offered by our college.We had to approach the financial institutions on our own to get the loan sanctioned.

Hostel Facilities

I haven't stayed in hostel or PGs.I was staying with my 4 friends in a rented flat. The rent was 4000, so per head it was 800. Electricity was separate. We had a cook to cook our food.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

We have friend circle but nothing like of alumni network. We haven't also heard any alumni network from our seniors during our stay in the college.We keep touch with our friends through facebook or whatsapp.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was as per BPUT regulations.We had semesters 2 exams per year. We had six subjects per semester and couple of labs as well as vivas. In the final year we were required to work on 2 projects and 2 seminars to complete the academy.

Faculty

Most of the Faculties were holding M.Tech degres and some of them were also holding the Ph.D. degrees. We had separate faculties for each of the subjects.Faculties were good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course after discussing it with my parents. So it is not my individual decision. Discipline and time management are the most vital aspects that we learned during those 4 years which really came handy in after graduation.

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .
