The college is in very good location. Few minutes from dum dum junction railway station and dum dum metro station.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is bachelor in technology course. I'm a b.tech student in electronics and communication engineering. And our college is conducted by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of technology. After completing the 8 semestes within 4 years we will be completed our degree. After the graduation various companies are offers IT sector jobs with good salary

Placement Experience

The placement is very good. Mostly 60 percentage students are placed every year. I'm from electronics department so last year (the passout batch) they placed more than 50 percentage. Students of All the departments like ece,cs,ee are placed in it sector companies and others like me,ce,ae they placed mostly hardware companies

College Events

Our college organise various small small culture program and others programs with seminar and others activities. Mostly two big culture program are arranged in a year. First one is tech fest and culture fest. This is a 3-4 days program where all the students are celebrate and participate and another one is fresher's welcome. After admission of fresher's our college arrange fresher's welcome program where we welcome ours fresher's. And many others small and medium culture programs are arranged.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a private college so the fees of bachelor in technology is 4 lakhs in 4 years and also for diploma and m.tech student the semester fees is mostly 40000/semester. For not strong financial students a TF cota is available. In TF they only give 4 thousands/semester

Education loan are available with various banking partners they are tied up with the college. If anyone need loan they contact college authority

Campus Life

All the facilities are good. Lab facilities of the college is very good. All computer based lab is air conditioning lab. And others lab is good. Robotics, debates and sports activities and compition are arranged. Robotics competition are arranged in time of tech fest.

Hostel Facilities

No I have not applied for hostel. But hostel facility is good. They give proper food in time to time and the quality of food is modarate. The rooms of the hostel is good. Many students are stay in hostel.

The college is very good. At best location the college is awesome. The faculty members of the college are very good. They are very careful and friendly. All the teachers and faculties of all departments are really good. They understand ours and communicate with ours as friendly. We share our problems and difficulties with them. They try their best to solve our problems

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied in some other colleges and such (most of them low-level),some through the WBJEE allotment,and others through word of mouth.I stuck with this college because it felt "right" in every way.The admission process was simple,I went into the college,filled in some documents,and got admitted.From what I gathered,the admission criteria is that you pass physics and mathematics,and have an aggregrate 45% in physics,mathematics and (chemistry/computer science/biology) combined.I did not have much of counselling day,aside from a physical reporting to the admission cell....Read More

One of best College (under makaut) in Kolkata

To get admission in SurTech (yes it is what now we call in short ) all you need is your diploma markshit. Though they ask you for Jelet you can also get admission through the management quota. But for an easy transition, I recommend you to just have your 10th/Diploma/Jelet certification with you.
