College is awesome. I think IIT BHU is one of the best of all the IITs. Varanasi is a holy place and I am blessed to be here.

Relevant. Due to the activities, I have set up my business. Some of the courses are terrific and some are just one to study. But one can have a choice of subjects generally. We called it an open elective. We have summer training as well which is evaluated in the second last semester.

More than 250(Approx.)companies came for campus recruitment. Top companies were Flipkart, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc., and so on. Generally, CGPA was not a criterion but for some top companies, it was above 8. The general process was first a written round, followed by a Group discussion or personal interview followed by an HR round.

Fest is rated very high in IIT BHU. The technical fest is named TECHNEX, the cultural fest is Kashiyatra, for sports we have Spardha. We call up players from several IITs. Varanasi is a holy place and the festivals conducted is called a holy festival. One should try to attend the festivals. For outsiders, passes are sold at the hostels.

It is feasible for most of them and expensive for some as they are slabs on the basis of the income of parents. Different charges are taken for eg. We pay for the library, sports grounds, examination fees and so on. On average A student whose family income is less than 5 lakhs but greater than 1 lakh then he/she has to pay around 40 thousand rupees.

There are scholarships but I haven't received them. Scholarships are based on states, CGPA, depends on several criteria. One has to be smart in this because the dates are crucial for this.

The males are quite high than the females. The campus is diverse. Academics are good, technical activities are awesome, sports events are superb. No discrimination is done on the basis of caste, sex, or religion. Everyone supports each other. We have a student parliament which is conducted for the hostel and for the whole IIT as well. It is done in a democratic way. Electorates can campaign via going roomwise, no posters are allowed to be posted on the campus.

Yes, currently I am staying in the Limdi hostel. Hostels are the best. The food that we get at such a low price with so many varieties. You won't get it anywhere. There are around 16 hostels. Some are in construction. One should enjoy hostel Life. It is terrific.

Yes, the seniors are of prime importance. They are the ones who guide you in projects and during the placement session.

Through the entrance exam of IIT. After the entrance, your rank is published and after few days your counseling dates will be announced. You are given your choice to select the nearest center for reporting. There are generally 3-4 rounds in which you will be allotted seats. Once you have locked the seat it's over.

I would rate them fine. Most of the faculty members are quite busy with their work and very helpful. If you have that curiosity to learn a particular subject they will guide you. I have done projects in data mining and the faculty helped me a lot in doing my project. But some of them are passionate about their research activities.
