The Asansol Engineering College is a place where academic and extracurricular activities are given equal opportunities and importance. The college organise different activities for the poor people too which includes participation from the students which gives the students a knowledge of how one should help the needy. The college organises blood donation camps regularly. Overall one can say that the college builds the moral and ethical character both.

The academic session is divided into 2 semesters. In each semester there are two internal exams of 30 marks each and the final semester exam which consists of practical and theory subjects. Each semester paper is of 100 marks each. The first year of the Btech course consists of all the subjects irrelevant of the trade. From second year onwards specific subjects related to the stream or trade are taught.

The companies that have came for campus replacement are TCS, COGINIZANT, ACCENTURE,WIPRO, ARETEANS, HCL, PERSISTENT, CAPGEMINI, CGI etc. In 2019 passout batch more than 70 percent students got placed.

There are numerous events organised by the college throught out the year. The most exciting event is the college fest which comprises of the Tech fest and the cultural fest. The organising committee is comprised of teachers and students. There are different sports events also being organised by the college. The sport events includes athletics, football, volleyball, basketball and cricket matches both interdepartmental and inter college.

The fee of the college increases every year. According to me the fee structure is quite expensive. The fee of our college is currently 50,000 per semester. The mode of payment can be in cash, card or UPI. The college does provide transparency in the fee breakdown. The college gives a fee booklet which is having the fee breakdown structure of all the 8 semester. The college charges late fine if one is late in submitting the fees.

No I have not opted for any scholarship or education loan. But one can always take the education loan. The college provides TFW - tuition fee wavier for students who are not financially stable. They have to opt for the TFW scholarship when they are applying in the online application form of the WBJEE.

The gender ratio in the college is normal. There is proper male female ratio for both students and teachers. The college has different tech clubs and sports club along with KASAR-the cultural club. There is a club for robotics also which are continuously monitored by the our esteemed professors. Professors always keeps on encouraging the students to take part in different extra curricular activities along with academics.

The senior junior relationship is very overwhelming. Because in AEC ragging does not happen. The seniors and juniors have a sibling kind of bond. They are really helpful. The juniors also gives respect to the seniors and thus everyone is having a positive attitude when it comes to senior - junior relationship.

I have got the admission through WBJEE. The entrance exam happens in May and the full procedure completes in August with the admission. The procedure also has counseling sessions. The classes commence from the mid August. The academic year is divided into 2 semesters.

The tentative number of lectures are 25-30 lectures per subject. The professors are all PHD or PhD aspiring. The theory classes are interactive. The practical classes are innovative with good infrastructure. The summer break and the winter break consists of the training which is based on industrial needs and are given by reputed industrial expertise.
